Before sending it to Nintendo... consider a local repair center. Nintendo will only send you back a replacement. So, all your "Stuff" will be gone. A local repair center will fix it, and you will have all your data.
Great job! I used your Amazon Affiliate Link to purchase the microscope and microphone stand. When I watch your video, it looks as though you have ample room to work underneath the microscope. I can't get the microscope to focus unless it is about 1 inch from the PCB. Am I missing something in the setup or settings?

I was following your video, but my low heat soldering and heat gun weren’t working to take off port, even with flux. Unfortunately, this is my first “intense” fix. 😢
I was having the same issue. I applyed flux to the port and used the heat gun but the port didn’t come off. I turned up the temperature but nothing different happened. I tryed soldering some metal on then using flux but I don’t know what to do. I have never soldered before this and I’m sure someone more experienced in soldering can help me out. So please some help me.
@Froggy, I finally got the port off, you just gotta make sure you have the heat gun on the high setting and came off just like in the video. Just be careful, if you don't have the correct table or holders.

@@PghGameFix ok. My wife had done an online request with Nintendo, but you're closer...we're in Irwin. It's gotten past that screen and just displays the low battery indicator now, and won't charge on any AC adapter
my sons switch gave an error code and he shut it down and now it will not turn on no matter what. Any ideas of the fix? It has charge when it errored. I do not know what code it was.
Unfortunately... without knowing the code... it could be a lot of things. I would plug a charger in it... and make sure it is charged. Then, hold the power button for 20 seconds to make sure it is fully powered down. And then, try to start it again.

I have multiple pokemon saves that I cannot lose, but my switch doesn't turn on. Always used Nintendo branded chargers, and my port doesn't look messed up as far as I can tell. I'm comfortable opening it and checking for shorts, but I wouldn't know what to do with that information if I found one.
Okay I opened it, and I don't have a ground fault anywhere near that chip. Looking across the to the other side though, I do have issues with ground on a few surface mount resisters below HAC-EMMC. A resistor should stop the multimeter making a tone when touching both sides right? I have some resistors that tone when touching both sides, but don't tone when touching the resister and ground.

What if the battery was knocked loose? My fiancé’s dog was trying to bury herself underneath the blanket when she kicked my switch lite off the bed and I just figured that might be the case.

@@ladymoonglo either he overcharges at night ! Or generally just overcharges anytime of day and that’s what the problems occurs Remember once it reaches 100% just take it off immediately that’s what I do

@@PghGameFix I was a bit overconfident because I have done some smd work in the past but nothing quite as tight as that chip surrounded by the cluster of caps. I'll probably buy a dead motherboard and try harvesting caps off it with my heated soldering tweezers

Just a regular meter in either continuity mode, or diode mode.

I had this issue once before, and resolved it, but it recently happened again and I have no idea why this keeps happening.
That code come from the charge chip. If it went away on it's own... then the original issue was never resolved.
When I take my switch to the Nintendo repair system and they fix it,will my main account still be there or will they add a new one??

Chances are... the port itself is damaged. You may want to take it apart, and clean it, or replace it.
