Im waiting for my 16 string lyre to come in the mail tomorrow. I'd never heard this song before and fell in love! I want it to be the first song I learn.
Thankyou so much for producing your lyre videos as they are so very helpful and appreciated. Just a beginner and your teaching skills are the best. You take time to explain and slow it down, too. Thanks again
You can't imagine how much this tutorial means to me. Thank you so much. I hope I bring can use this to pay forward the beauty that you have shown here.
Thank you for your videos and tutorials, I have the same lyre as you and it's been so hard trying to find resources to learn to play it as a complete beginner! This is extremely helpful
I am so thankful for your tutorials. I used to "play" harp, but it just didn't work for me and after a couple of years and several teachers, I sadly gave it up. I've played other instruments in the meantime, but now have come back to the Lyre. In fact, it's just like yours. It is soooo hard to find tutorials for the Lyre, 16 string or otherwise. I am so appreciative of your work. Please, tho, please, speak a little louder or turn up your mic. With my volume all the way up, it's still very soft. Much appreciative. Blessings.
I'm a complete beginner to music and I got my lyre last week. I was worried it was going to be hard to learn as a first instrument since I was having a hard time finding tutorials. Your channel really is a blessing and has helped me feel confident that I'll be able to play this!
Just wanted to say if anyone has any questions or tunes they would like a tutorial on - just let me know in the comments below and I will do my best to answer or organise a tutorial 🙂
Apologies, I had to delete and re-upload this video because my use of the hashtag sign to denote F sharp (as I would normally in music) caused them to turn into links for some reason! So sorry for any confusion 🙂
I have this harp too and happy to find your tutorial. I would love to see more. If it’s possible to talk a little louder I would so appreciate it. Kind of hard to hear it with my phone on max as I have a slight hearing impairment. Looking forward to more of your videos.
@@harpmusica5234 Hi, I am so thankful for your tutorials, but I have the same problem. You talk so soft I have to really turn up my sound, and it's still low.
I got a 16 string lyre today with no sheet music and no instructions. How can I get the notes on sheet music. Your instructions are very good and you are very patient.
I often use lap harp music or vocal music and just play it on lyre - any beginners level folk tune will probably work on lyre but there’s not much specifically written for lyre although I’m hoping to write some when I have time 😀
Hi! I haven’t tried many lyres out I’m afraid - mine is a Aklot 16 string and it’s ok. (I think there is a make called Walter that is supposed to be ok too) I paid about £68 for it. I bought a cheaper 19 string lyre but the build and strings are not great quality. 🙂
I have a similar harp but when I hold it, the higher pitched notes are closer to my body and the bass notes further just like when I play the harp. I am right handed. Am I doing it wrong? It seems to sound right. Please help me
Finaly the correct way to do a tutorial Not rushed, With clear explinations of each item

I’m so happy to read your comment - I thought maybe I was the only one who had this lyre. I will be making more tutorials I promise 🙂

Merry Christmas! Thank you 🙂 Yes there is a part 2 uploaded on my channel for you to learn the rest of the song.

Hi, I would like to learn the lyre it sounds so beautiful! Could You recommend what kind and how many strings to buy 16? Thank You!🌹

How would you play this on a 10 string with CDEFGABCDE string notes?
I think you can just tune the F string to an Fsharp and follow the notes in the description box 🙂
The notes in description say f sharps. Can you play sharps and flats on a lyre?
Hi! Yes if you tune the strings up or down a semitone.
That's ok.I like your instruction but if you could tune to concert we can all play and learn instead of having to tune down.
Great stuff but you are not in concert tuning.Makes it difficult to follow.
Sorry about that!

Hi there, I’ve posted a reply to you on the other video you commented on. I think it’s fine as long as the harp sound nice 👍
