I like the idea of the Wolves leaning into an even more perimeter defense focused, switchable identity while KAT is out. Possibly starting/closing with Jaden at the 4 and NAW at the 2 could unlock some great two way lineups.
I was watching the game last night on Hulu, and I was constantly rewinding Clippers offensive possessions because of the brilliant team defense on display by the Wolves. The Clippers have some of the best pick and roll players in the league on their roster and the Wolves consistently defended the screen action perfectly. Just an incredible performance. And in my opinion, this is the blueprint for the Wolves to win in the playoffs. Max effort on defense coupled with opportunistic offense when generating turnovers and missed shots.
This team is still talented without KAT, especially on defense. We will need his offense come playoff time though. LET'S GO WOLVES!
I loved being the team that eats up a 20 pt lead on an opponent and not the other way around. Played tough and fast. Fun basketball.
If we can continue to incrementally improve the offense and then add back in KAT for the playoffs, I like where we at.
