i bought this game on the back of your previous play throughs, and i've never looked back... amazing game, played well and totally interesting dialogue to boot 😊😊
As someone maining SMs in Gladius, never drop the city first. Move your 2 space marines first and not claim the special tiles but uncover as much of the map as possible. Heck, if i dont have 3 good special tiles within the cities radius, i might drop it at turn 2 instead on a better location. if i have no good position after moving the Squads in turn 2 i reroll another map.
I don’t take it nearly as seriously or else I wouldn’t have a bunch of allies to hide behind. Rolling with whatever the map provides on turn one is just part of the RNG for me.
Unfortunately Guard in Gladius are horrifically underpowered so don't expect them to hold well. They have needed buffs at least cost reductions for ages and haven't gotten them.
@@eduardodiaz9942 I personally disagree. I find their vehicles very average. And the whole problem is Gladius is rather early/mid game dependent because it's a rather aggressive game. Meaning it's very easy to get base locked as Guard on one or two bases at most and the faction really wants to mass expand. The only good thing about the vehicles is the durability but the damage is poor generally till the bane blade. The only option that I have found viable for them early is chimera party bussing otherwise you just get shredded on anything above hard.
@@eduardodiaz9942 vehicles generally are way overpowered in this game which makes infantry pretty much pointless after the initial exploration phase. It's my biggest complaint about Gladius, it feels nothing like 40k is meant to.
@@DeadlyGrub You're free to disagree, but the Basilisk, the Leman Russ, the Rogal Dorn and the Marauder bomber remain some of the best vehicles in the game. That's a cold, hard fact.
I’m aware. I haven’t even gotten far enough to know how they’re implemented. I saw that despite them switching developers they’ve not changed Planetary Supremacy in any meaningful way. The game mode prevents any new factions from being able to shine.
I come for the building building building, the building that builds buildings
The building building building is building a building building building to build even more building building buildings.
English is a silly language...

I have been looking forward to this series and the Battlesector Imperial Guard! Hope you had a great holiday season!
Glad-ius to see you on this game again mate
My comfort food is watching you play Gladius, so everyone is a winner!
Really looking forward to this series, Janet!
Yes, a new Gladuis campaign. Nice.
Hells yeh. . . More gladius will always draw me in

Is this an expansion for the existing Space Marines faction or an entirely new faction on their own?
For Terra, and the Golden Throne!
Thanks for the video
Woe betide those who don't like this gladius content
The reason the first bastion didnt count is because you deployed it before you got the objective
Nope, I’m afraid not. That’s not how any objectives in this game function.

It would probably be boring if they did
They're weak in the early game, but very strong in the late game once they have vehicles rolling.

Astra Militarum is out on battlesector. I have to say I don't love the way they're implemented
