Maha, this process of learning Arabic has been for about two years for me. Just want to thank you because you are the reason I can understand and speak Arabic...your explanations have been my guiding light. From learning the alphabet to work on the dialect. By the way you're recommendation to learn Shami dialect has really been the reason my Arabic has improved by leaps and bounds and it really complements FuSha which I understand now more because I'm learning the dialect. Thank you thank you thank you!
It’s always been hard to learn Arabic for me. Mainly because both my parents never really taught me but also bcuz my dad speaks with a village dialect while my mom speaks with a city dialect. So this is helpful and makes sense. Thanks Maha

She already did it! There are 6 lessons on how to read/write, here's the first: th-cam.com/video/2RcgfyuBlz8/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LearnArabicwithMaha Or if you want just a quick description of how to pronounce the letters in the Shami dialect then use this lesson: th-cam.com/video/DboWZ-J7iXQ/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LearnArabicwithMaha
Hi, Maha! I'm currently studying MSA and I've noticed that verbs in the first-person singular past tense form end with the suffix /tu/. Is it common for colloquial varieties of Arabic to drop the final vowel and use the suffix /t/ instead? This rule also seems to apply to the second-personal singular masculine suffix /ta/ -> /t/.
una curiosità...come suona l'italiano per un arabo? nel senso che per un inglese francese russo spagnolo etc suona romantico e melodico..e per voi arabi? grazie
Hi I’m Israeli and I learn falestini dialect Arabic and we learned it’s رُحْتِ with a casra on the ta and not رحتي like you said, and there was more things different from what I learnt
teaching americans a foreign language is a pain in the ass anyways😝 I also really don't understand why you have to comment on her appearance. Its really unprofessional and sexist. Would you tell a male teacher that he is cute but not doing a good job?

Kasrah in MSA. When writing the colloquial language, spelling liberties are taken in every dialect.

She’s beautiful but she’s a confusing teacher. I’m not sure she could teach Arabic to an American.
It works fine for me. Arabic is confusing. She explains it well.
