however, it doesn't seem to nail the Allman Bros tone at all

Very good video. I liked the Alman Brothers example. I grew up in the city and use to go to The Fillmore on weekends. Saw the Alman Brothers open for Hot Tuna. ZZ Top open for Ten Years After. Lots of Bloomfield, Bishop, etc . Naming this amp Fillmore just seems like a marketing gimmick. I've watched about 20 videos on this. I really want one. Because I think the cloning is a great idea. Put two amps together, set each channel, then control my volume and switching. I want to use the 25 with a Blackbird 40. Very curious about that combo. Have other 100 watt set ups. But the 40 just intrigues me.

Just got the 50. Absolutely love it. I’t like having two amps.

Great sounds. Do these come with a footswitch so you can switch from clean to overdrive etc.

Great stuff. Just hearing some grooves and not lick/lick/lick/lick/ gives a way better sense of how this amp reacts when confronted with human intensity.
Grabbed a 50 in Blue with the tan cloth and this amp put to rest my interest in the unreal amps of yesterday that are now all just beginning to more become unoriginal originals because of a tweak here, a replacement there..a modification done..over the 40, 50 and 60 years they've been around. The old ones are beyond awesome..but 95 percent of players that have one that isn't associated with a studio that are still in good shape aren't the 5 shows a week players that are cutting their teeth in the trenches anymore.
Even if I did have one I'd still gig the Mesa because it really does nail the Iconic Fender Amp sound and I wouldn't have to worry as much about the replaceability of the amplifier. I think the Filmore might just be a sleeper classic..a lot like what happens with someone who figures out how to dial in a Mesa Nomad and then sits there in total confusion as to how the world missed it. (Secret is in the third channel).
With how much all of us that get into this stuff really love almost every aspect of it...I think you'd be hard pressed to find any one of us that wasn't on a large tour with a tech dedicated to the amps health that would really choose to use a great condition Unicorn as a go-to for barroom out of straight respect for it being a more historical piece of art than a tool for the trenches. Maybe I'm wrong. The Fillmore is probably one of the best if not the best actual replacement option for these ever.

I bought the amp for 6L6 clean mode to play live. It performs well. Distortion mode is not as good but it is workable in a live environment. Putting a microphone up to the speaker is a lot of work and needs ideal conditions which never happens, so no mic. Line out is also not happening. For recording, I had to rely on my Boss GT-1000, with IR out as well as the Fender Tone Master Deluxe with IR out. These guys get good distortion. The amp will stand up and perform live. Just need to tweak the dials a bit for the distortion. Running in clean mode gets by far the best results. So many will use pedals plugged into the clean modes. Its a good reliable live amp. For recording, Boss GT-1000 or Fender Tone Master with IR out.
