Rolling Stones and Clapton together. Who would have thought back in the 70's that they would still be rocking the world. Only real legends last that long.
I would have - I don't believe all the bullshit the media prints or says about these people - they didn't do any more dope or drink anymore than some of the fuckers who were spreading rumors - These people are rarely what would be assumed -
The Stones and Eric Clapton, they make the blues sound freaking amazing. This is what real music is supposed to sound like. This is timeless and classic and just beyond words This experience is definitely priceless.
Magistrale Eric clapton numero 1 del rock mondiale.chitarrista dì un altro pianeta.ha suonato con tutti i più grandi artisti mondiali.eterno e'nella storia della musica.Dainese Aldo.
They make a great guitar trio,Clapton,a great soloist,Richards and Wood, brilliant rhythm guitars players that solo. This is team work not competition! All great in their own ways! Long live the Stones and Clapton!
God Bless the English! Their undying Love and dedication to Blues and the American Hero's that originated it is so Spiritually uplifting to a young kid whom grew up in Kansas. I would go over in to Black town around 16 years of age in the daytime and go into some of the bars, cafes and taverns to listen to their Jukeboxes and respectfully honor the entire vibe. Thank you Brits! Awesome! Craig Twister Steward - former harp artist with Frank Zappa
Eric rips the plaster off the ceiling here & it looks so effortless. Love the combination of these guys with my favorite Muddy Waters tune......well there should be no law!
What a fantastic concert it was! It was a real 'wow' moment when Clapton strolled onto the stage; I certainly didn't know he would appear, and I don't think most people in the audience did. Thank you, Strasale, for uploading this! I wish I had been that close to the stage! :-)
Come on Rolling Stones release this London 2012 show on Blu ray both for this fantastic song and also as a tribute to the late great Charlie Watts RIP🥁🙏
I've said it a thousand times and will forever say it.. the God of rock and roll music IS British!! otherwise how the hell would anyone explain all that massive talent of English musicians, Beatles, Stones, Genesis, Queen, The Who, Pink Floyd, etc etc...
@@tommurphree5630 don't tell me from the USA because there may have been 2 or 3 US artist before the big British bands took over and that was Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry
Also, there was a lot of great music from the U.S. written and played by Americans in the sixties . The list is very long of the American groups and solo artists that covered the top 40 charts in those days , along with the British bands and solo singers. All you had to do was turn on the radio to confirm it .
What are you talking about? Overrated? "Generic rock monsters?" This is one of the better versions of this song that I've ever heard, and I'm a Muddy Waters fan as well. This is epic. Thanks for the post.
I just wrote that exact same idea....Clapton jams here...and is real..and good!!!!!!! I asked the guy to send me a vid of him jamming, so we can critique his excellence.
Just a bunch of old friends playing music together & having a great time..the audience doesn't even exist for them..Clapton said about that picture of the wall where someone wrote "Clapton Is God" there is a dog peeing on the wall; that's what he thinks about that statement. As someone watching this I feel privileged to witness REAL MUSIC played by the best guys ever..now clean & sober..from MY GENERATION!
I agree with you. But Clapton himself in interviews over the past 15 years says he knows he lost "something". He's not "killing" in in solos, and relegates the solos to other people. He's probably the most honest musician in the world. His world now is his family and the Crossroads Centre. I don't blame him :)
Easy to be a critic,The whole thing felt good to me and had a good groove.I can also speak as a guitar teacher of 40 years. All these men are great players but most of all have a deep soul.
Eric Clapton is not only a virtuoso musician; he is one hot man. That is a hot old dude. I have seen him in person; with Derek and the Dominoes, and he is beyone good. Dude, you seriously rock the house. Bravo. I will tell my Eric Clapton story, I have already told my Rolling Stones story; Once, I was invited backstage at a Clapton concert, when I was with my first fiance. Can I tell you how much I wish I had gone. Eric, you are awesome. Rock on. You wear it very, very well. Good Lord.
I love this. Especially Ron Wood's solo. He does something I have never seen from another famous rock guitarist. He makes me feel REALLY good about my blues soloing. For some reason, EC has never done this for me.
and then came the Pepper days where every bassline was a song in itself, a day in the life is my alltime favortie pop bass playing, every bassplayer i ask about dear prudence agrees that this bassline should have been forbidden ti fit the song, but it's perfect, the ramlbing spare notes of yer blues, the little runs at the end of got something to hide, and then came abbey road, come together, grooviest thickest bassriff of them all, i love it when it gets heavy in the chorus.
Observation: Clapton never wore spandex type of concert gear. He always wore something you could wear in the street. I always respected that. And HE PLAYS A MEAN GUITAR!!!!!
Cool, spontaneous, Stones & EC . . . who could ask for more. Slowhand really shines starting at 4:54. Tho Ron and Keith just kinda bang it out in previous robust solos, in turn, they appear to make Clapton bring his game and really shine at the end, kickin' a solo so tight, Mick jumps in to steal the spot light and ends the tune on the high side.
Finally! Absolutely fantastic video from London! I kept asking, where's the video from all those folks in the pit seats? Whoop, there it is! Damn good! Hope you had a blast! I'll post mine from Joisey when they get here!

Clapton is immense! It says something about the Stones respect for him that they have him playing at such a momentous occasion for them!
the stones and eric have been friends since 1963
Clapton blows them away and makes it look easy.
Clapton - Always the most melodious and so far ahead of the rest...
Wrong Mr Beck leads them all.
@@dalewalker7368 for me he’s not.
@@dalewalker7368 He was great, but EC is God.
Agree!!!
Eric Clapton is the Master
There is nothing in the world that delights me more than seeing a load of brilliant musicians enjoying themselves on stage!

has clapton played and jammed with almost everyone in the universe except maybe jesus .hes the man
Mathew Maher Well Clapton is God so he probably did ;)
Jesus couldn't keep up. Now, St. Peter is another story with a Strat in his hands.....LOL.............
Are we talking about Jesus the half god half man bloke or the footballer (soccer player) now??
Yes. Started w/Hedrix or before
I don't remember any collaboration with May and Blackmore too between guitar legends
Outstanding videoss...Whoah the best
Love it ❤❤❤❤❤ i cant beleive the first time i have seen this Eric is just on fire once again. ❤ Forever Fan
Mick sings great here. Always a good sign, when he's relaxed and smiles, because he obviously enjoys, what's going on.
Clapton love it when he can stand in the back and just play guitar.. He is the man all want to lay down rythm guitar..
wow that was unbelievable!!even keith killed it on a solo!!

As long as these guys can still do what they do I can still feel young at 62.
Truly magnificent
Word. I never would have noticed R&B or blues without the Stones to guide me.
Oh you can really see, the're having a blast together. Wonderful guitar solos at the end!
Their all looking & playing great. It is NICE to see Eric with them.
Great Video! Clapton's right at home with those boys. He grew up with them in the early 60s.
Yay, Finally being able to watch a fantastic band with Fantastic Quality. Wish i was there.

bom!!!
I WAS THERE WHEN BUDDY GUY AND THE STONES DID IT AT THE BEACON THEATER , IN NYC, WHAT A SET , THEY STILL JAM HERE ,

That Clapton kid is pretty good. The Stones ought to hire him and give him some exposure.

just freak'n awesome-
Clocking toward a decade from this, and Keith Richards is going out on the road with the Winos again. Reefer and Champagne sure worked for him.
