  • Dick Rochfort is a Master Certified Flight Instructor providing excellent training, pre-purchase consulting, aircraft relocation and expert witness services to owners, pilots and instructors of the Piper PA46 aircraft. He holds ATP, Commercial and Gold Seal Flight Instructor Certificates with SEL, SES, MEL, CFII, MEI, and CE-525S ratings. He has been a full-time flight instructor working exclusively in PA46 aircraft (all variants) since 1992 and has over 10,000 hours in Make/Model.

    Always enjoy riding along with Dick and company. This is a fairly "standard" approach to a lot of airports in Beautiful British Columbia. With many airports sitting in the valleys of the Rocky Mountains, step down or glideslope approaches often require steep approaches making power, gear and flap management a workload and a pilot to be on top of his game.

    I would appreciate a video on why he said not to slip 'in this airplane'?? When is it ok and when it is not?

      The PA46 is not approved for slips. With proper pitch/power configs slips aren’t necessary. Fly Safely - Train Often .. DR
