As someone who actually started with William Hartnell and that Sixties DW style, I love your reaction to the 2024 version. I'm not convinced, yet, that "supernatural" isn't just a convenient excuse for doing any old thing, mind you... but like you, looking forward to finding out!
I have to say it looks like we're all in for one hell of a fantastic adventure. If Russell T Davies can make Doctor Who great again, perhaps he should be our next Prime Minister, so he can the same with the UK.
Ncuti looks great, Millie looks great, the effects look amazing....so why am I worried? I fear a focus on visuals over substance...I think the so called Specials have unnerved me more than I realised
Whilst the effects look magic i genuinely cant get excited about this yet ...like for a show about time and space trsvel they seem to be repeating tropes donr in the previous three eras ...i dont know it just feels reductive sadly to me
Visually stunning gives me series 5 vines of wacky space adventures. Not keen on Ruby though as that line of " it's taking me all this time to realize what I meant to do save the world " gives me rose clara chosen one vibes. Prefered the more normal grounded companions like Graham yaz and Dan so not fan of return to the especial format

I agree, always loved how they explained supernatural elements with sci fi. I watch doctor who for the Sci-fi not sure I'll keep watching if it turns too much to fantasy and supernatural stuff. Trailer looks great, effects look great, but if its not sci-fi anymore, not sure I'll be interested.
@@Dtizap it’s because of the new budget we used to Doctor Who feeling cheesy because of the low budget and now it has a $10 million per episode budget and it feels very different because of it
