I really admire that you're taking on the Ramadan challenge, even though you're not Muslim. It's great that you're trying to understand what Ramadan is all about. By praying (and giving Zakat) during Ramadan, you're actually practicing three of the five pillars of Islam.
If you want to fully experience Ramadan in Bangladesh, you should consider staying with a traditional Bengali Muslim family. From what I've seen in your videos, the family you're staying with doesn't seem to fully understand Ramadan (sorry if I sound rude, but it is what it is). In a traditional Bengali Muslim household, you'd get a completely different and more authentic experience. Who knows, you might even find yourself drawn to Islam before Ramadan ends. Best of luck 🤲🤲🙏🙏

@@stevelooongin christianity and islam jesus already came and will come again. But muslim believes he didn't die and will die after the second coming. while christian believes he died and resurrected and will come again.
Jews believe he never came in the first place. And the jesus we christian and Muslim talk about is an imposter and illegitimate child of Mary.
      Hope this information helps you.

I want to add something to @MotassimAli, that Jesus or Isa (A.S.) (both are the same person) is not Creator, GOD, or son of GOD/Creator, but a messenger of GOD. His mother Mariam, who you call Mary is the most respected woman in Islam. Allah specially mentioned her name and has a complete surah about her and her name in AL-Quran. (That represents how special Jesus or Isa (A.S.) mother Mariam is in Islam)

Hey Steve, I've been a long-time subscriber of yours. I really appreciate you stepping out of your comfort zone to try this 30-day fasting challenge. However, I think the people who are guiding you may have a vague idea about Ramadan or there may be some other limitations for them. Also, the sehri party is a good idea for you, but trust me, it's not part of the authentic Bengali culture. If you really want to experience the complete vibe of Ramadan, you should find a traditional Bengali Muslim family and stay with them. They will be able to guide you through the culture and authentic culture of Ramadan in Bangladesh.
(NB: I live near where you are staying, and I would really love to have an opportunity to have Iftar or Sehri with you. I love your energy, man.)

Hey Steve, how are you man?
Listen you are doing a very good job bro....
Just listen to me..... don't eat to much oily foods in ifter....eat fruits and juice....and healthy things....
Don't do too much workout ..... remember you can't drink you know....
And brother, talk with a knowledgeable person who can teach you about Ramadan in detail.....this will motivate you for fasting....
And you are doing great you know.....take it easy ,ok?
Ok you were talking about jesus....let me explain to you....
We believe Jesus is our prophet....we don't believe that he is the son of god....God has no sons, daughter or wife.....God is one.....
We also believe he was on earth in the past .... spreading the message of god.....
Christians believe that jesus died and soon he will come back again...
But Muslims believe that jesus didn't die ......he was taken to the heavens and god will send him down again as a follower of prophet Muhammad (PBUH)....

And thanks for the explanation of Jesus. Now i got it!
So Jesus was on earth in both religions, but in Muslim relegion he will come back one day as a follower of prophe Muhammad.
      thanks man!

    • @tanvirmahtab0104
      @tanvirmahtab0104 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

The fundamental difference in belief between Christianity and Islam about Jesus is that Christianity recognises Jesus to be the son of God whereas Islam depicts Jesus to be only a messenger of God not His son. The belief in this oneness of God is one of the five pillars of the Islamic faith. Muslims believe that God has no son or daughter and it’s a major sin according to the Islamic faith to associate anyone with God(like believing that Jesus is God’s son). I hope it’s clear to you now Steve. I’m loving it how you’re trying to experience a different faith’s rituals. Maybe sometime you can grab a copy of our holy book Quran(make sure you do wudhu since it’s a prerequisite for touching the book, just like you have to do wudhu as a prerequisite for the Muslim prayer) and read the translation of the verses. It’ll be a beautiful experience for you if you feel you’re lost deep inside and need some soul searching!

He is the only messenger who did die still and was taken to haven because of 2 major reason.
1 is he prayed to Allah that he comes back to life in earth as Mohammad S: disciple as per Isa's request and also the
2nd reason that Isa will come to slay dajjal nearing the time doomsday.

Ramadan is not only for fasting, or not a temporary religious practice but to feed the hungry, help the needy, guard our tongue, forgive and not to judge others. Its about Patience, Sympathy, Humanity, Love, Forgiveness, Kindness, and Remembrance of Allah. It is a glimpse of what we are capable of doing every day.
Perhaps it may be our last Ramadan, If one can not attain advantage from this month then when will he do so? our last opportunity to benefit from the special blessings and forgiveness that accompanies this month, This is the month for renewing our Aqidah, strengthening our willpower, and seeking forgiveness(Taubah), a unique opportunity to fortify the bond of love with our Creator. Who knows we may be there or not to receive the blessings for next year.
May Allah Subhanahuwata'ala accept our ibadah in this blessed month, And may Allah open for us the doors of forgiveness and blessings in this month.. Aameen

If you really want do the ramadan for 30 days, you should record every changes inside of you ( eg: How calm you are becoming day by day? how is the amount of yourself becoming into more observing everything over saying with words, your concentration level and same relaxation while you get from doing meditation and many more ); well ramadan is is kind of a meditation package. while doing it. but you must do it carefully and with full concentration. i swear you will love the result after completing the challenge.
Suggestions to make it more beneficial to you:
    1. do not eat fried food in iftaar. ( very bad for your health. )
    2. no drinks
    3. no outside food( like juice, drinks for breaking fast)
4.try to have homemade foods. if need help ten ask your neighbours🙂. i don't think any bengali neighbours will reject you for helping with making food. they will love to help you.
    5. eat fruits during iftaar ( dates would be great, watermelon, green coconuts and so like)
    6. exactly between 8.00 pm to 9 pm go to bed instant. It will help you with the sleepy problems in SEHRI time.
    7. before going to bed try to made some foods fo the sehri and yes don't eat much at sehri ass you will have dinner,
    8. try to go to some orphanage and old age home and see how they are doing and know some story of them
    9. if possible spend time in the mosque while everyone is praying together 5 times a day. look how they do it .( I tell you steve, you will love the journey)
ramadan makes us dicipplined, pure, freshens up the body and mind. you will feel it yourself bro.
    extra tip:
instead of hitting the gym, stay awake after the sehri and take a walk of 60 to more minutes. then have a sleep, it will help recovering the energy and muscles.
    good luck Steve.

Hi Steve! Firstly welcome to our lovely country. Secondly good content however longer videos would be highly recommended. Ok so the difference between the beliefs between the two religion is, Christians believe that Jesus is the son of God and he was crucified and resurrected after 3 days. On the other hand we Muslims believe he's soul was taken by Allah the almighty and he did not go through the pain of crucifixion. He will be sent back to earth to complete his deeds and pass away just like every human being that Allah has created. So we are awaiting for his return and we believe he is a prophet of Islam.
Hope that sums it up ✌️

Thanks you so much Steve for putting on a nice shirt. You looked cool on them. Appreciate it 👍
You had a question about the similarities between Islam and christianity. Well there are a ton of similarities.
    1. Both religion believes in One God.
    2. Both Religion they call their One God, Allah
Arab Christians and Muslims both say, Allah ( ref: Arabic bible )
    3. In both religion, eating pork is forbidden.
    4. Both religion belives in all prophets Adam, David, Jacob, Issac, Moses, Jesus, Noah, Solomon, Jesus ( may peace and blessings be upon them all)
    5. Orthodox Christian women wear veils just like Muslim women.
    6. Orthodox Christians pray similar to how Muslims pray ( put their head to the ground , ref: Bible )
    7. Jesus warned about the dangers of drinking alcohol, for Muslims later became prohibited by Islamic law. The major Khalifa of Islam were alcohol drinker but they stopped drinking when the Gabriel came with law from Allah and drinking was prohibited.
    8. We both believe that God revelaed His Divine books like Tohrah, Zabur, Inji, etc to previous Prophets before Qur'an was revealed as final and last testament.
Islam and Christianity is basically spreads the same message that Our God is, one God.
The only difference is that Muslims don't believe that Jesus ( may peace and blessings be upon him) os Son of God. We believe Jesus is just like any Prophet that came before him like Abraham, David Jacob etc. Musim believes that Jesus was not crucified but taken into heaven to God. And he will return again to establish peace and blessings on earth and to remove all confusions between the people of the book like Christians, Jews, etc.
Both religions revere, Mary the mother of Jesus ( There is a chapter dedicated to her in the last and final testament, Al Quran)
So, there is a ton of similarities. And yes both religion do the fasting.
So yeah ! Thanks for exploring Islam and thanks for trying fasting the entire month if Ramadan
I hope Allah will guide you to the truth 🌺
    Ramadan Mubarak 🌷🌺

As Muslim we believe in Jesus as prophet of Allah (God) while Christians believe Jesus as son of God. For Muslims we believe he wasn’t crucified but was alive & rose to Allah & also believe he’ll be returning back to earth.

Hey Steve, brilliant to see you visiting my beautiful country. Respect to you highly for fasting and getting involved 🙌
Your question on Jesus Pbuh. Christians and Muslims believe in the second coming of Jesus it's in the holy Quran and in the bible. The difference is that Jesus Pbuh is one of the mightest prohets in Islam where else in Christianity Christians see him as God but not all Christians, though hope this answers your question.
