I drive an 18 wheeler. I bring an electric rc car but hardly ever find a place to race. Do a lot of bashing. Love this video. I am old school. Raced my hyper 7 up until about 5 years ago. My engine has over 40 gallons burned through it with a few rebuilds. Love the os engines never used anything else and they really hold a tune. So old school I used to mix my own fuel. 😅
That makes me want to clean up my old nitro rustler 2.5, have had it for over 20 years. I sold my savage and hyper 9 years ago, couldn't let go of the rustler.
Great vid as always mark, still running novarossi engines in all my cars but that ultimate one looks banging 👊🏽I’m still doing old school break ins but I keep a heat gun on the engine all the time to keep the temp at 220.
sup mark im glad to hear your back with nitro i remember when you were like im done with nitro hahaha glad to here your back mark im a bigg fan of nitro as well love the videos marks take care buddy
When I raced my Inferno MP7.5 in 2002-2003 I ran a NovaRossi XBK-01:Ron Paris modified .21 with THS pipe. It was a beast on the track. I still have it .
Love the smell and sound of nitro for about 10 minutes. Then it's just noise and a headache. Not my thing but those that like it enjoy. I'll stick to plug and play of electric.
I don’t run Nitro at all & have no interest In getting one but when you stop learning new stuff you only limit yourself so here I am watching why? Just because maybe one day it’ll come in handy or if someone mentions it I have at least some knowledge of Nitro. Thank you for providing helpful RC knowledge to everyone. Hopefully you have some footage from the Nightcrawl & maybe some swap meet content. 👍Thanks Dont forget about the Crawler lovers. 😉
Pinch the line from the pipe to the tank, open and let go of the tank flapper 3-4 times and you have just primed your carb, and tested the seal on your tank. No need for blowing!
Hey Mark, been a viewer for a while and just picked up a used Nitro Slash. Been electric my whole life in terms of RC and for the life of me I can't keep this Slash from toasting glow plugs. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I watched a bunch of videos and looked over the engine, and it seems fine, but I don't know how to tune this thing to keep it from burning up plugs. I know you have experience with Traxxas engines, and I was wondering if you could maybe make a beginners guide to Nitro series where you go over fuels, glow plugs, basic tuning tips and things to watch for? These glow plugs are getting expensive and I don't really want to mess with it anymore because I feel like I'm not actually learning from it because I don't really know what my mistakes are. Thanks.
Dam I thought you were mid twenties. Dam I'm 58 and when was 40 I was in prime if my life. I still work outside but because I like it. Anyway happy birthday
I started feeling it around age 49 so I got in shape and 5 years later I still feel it . Lately I ve been thinking it’s all about diet and staying lean . Save the joints and tendons and ligaments because arthritis is real for me personally . I run a construction business so I have no choice but to be physical .
I ran Heli fuel in my RC cars as they had more oil content, unfortunately Nitro is few and far between now a day's I went into my local shop and they had just a small section of fuel back in the day there were isles of fuel from car to plane to heli. I still love the sound of nitro but the brushless technology has come so far, I remember when people were putting in the brushless systems in the E-Maxxs. I can still smell the nitro
The clutch is pretty important. More so if your racing. You want nice clean smooth engagement. They can tend to take a good deal of maintenance but when you get them right it's really satisfying.
i have 30 years of racing oval and never ran a nitro in a car but know you need to break them in like a brushed motor. i have run a 410 engine in a plane and we would break those in on a engine stand with a prop on it. i never broke in my engines my grandfather did all that for me and all i had to do was fly my rc plane
Are you getting the new 2.2 gets released in a couple days? Lol all it is new towers shocks tower bolts new Ackerman plates 21 degree spindle carriers etc. I seen it and man it looks so good! good enough to me that I wanted to run nitro again and I haven't ran nitro in 20 years! Lol looks great mark
Hey there Mark & friends, this is the first nitro RC kit I'm building, and I was gifted a AGAMA N1 with a REDCOBU0021 REDS 721 S Scuderia Gen 3 Pro Superveloce SV .21 Off-Road Nitro Engine. Could MARK or ANYONE in the comments let me know if this is a good one to build for my first rc project?

I started with a Kyosho Stinger MK2
When I raced my Inferno MP7.5 in 2002-2003 I ran a NovaRossi XBK-01:Ron Paris modified .21 with THS pipe. It was a beast on the track. I still have it .
OS do run forever and they are so easy to tune. I was running OS engines years ago and I have always been happy with them.
Can we please see a speed test? And lots more nitro vids! Thanks. I love all of your content!

Love the smell and sound of nitro for about 10 minutes. Then it's just noise and a headache. Not my thing but those that like it enjoy. I'll stick to plug and play of electric.
My first hobby grade RC car was a HPI rtr3 Camero body. I put in 2 speed. Wish I never sold it.
Great info, Mark. You're making me want to get back into nitro now! Lol!
Tnr has been running great for me

Makes me want to break my nitro stuff out again.

@@Hungrybird474 I agree. I stay lean and still work and play with these RC cars. Wife don't mind. Lol have a great day
I ran Heli fuel in my RC cars as they had more oil content, unfortunately Nitro is few and far between now a day's I went into my local shop and they had just a small section of fuel back in the day there were isles of fuel from car to plane to heli. What about the clutch and how super important it is that is what a lot of people have problems with
The clutch is pretty important. More so if your racing. You want nice clean smooth engagement. They can tend to take a good deal of maintenance but when you get them right it's really satisfying.
Love the sound of nitro, it's just not worth the hassle anymore for me.
Yes! Nitro all day
Get a mini split ac system for the garage Mark and thank me later.
i have 30 years of racing oval and never ran a nitro in a car but know you need to break them in like a brushed motor. i have run a 410 engine in a plane and we would break those in on a engine stand with a prop on it. i never broke in my engines my grandfather did all that for me and all i had to do was fly my rc plane

What temp measuring tool do you use? Looking for a new one myself
What engine would you get to get into nitro racing that os based
Do you have to put more oil in after it spit it out?
are ur .2s on the way for testing?
Hey there Mark & friends, this is the first nitro RC kit I'm building, and I was gifted a AGAMA N1 with a REDCOBU0021
REDS 721 S Scuderia Gen 3 Pro Superveloce SV .21 Off-Road Nitro Engine. Could MARK or ANYONE in the comments let me know if this is a good one to build for my first rc project?
That's ah $400...engine..😂😂😂bro common man🤦🏽♂️
Whats a good brand engine for nitro truggy
Are you going to be purchasing the new nb482.2?
Ilasi tuned is a zrb!! Not a xrb, are they still available only 150 units. I was going to order one. As my mxs engines are amazing
What are you using to measure the temp
Is the traxxas 3.3 engines good ?
I was wondering the same thing
Good engine, crappy carb, weak conrod OS 11k carb is a nice upgrade. You can swap the rod after break in and it will last a lot longer.
I haven't run nitro so I have no clue what OS based engine means. I was hoping for an explanation of the difference.
Comin up on 60 quit whining LOL 😅😂😊
Are the traxxas engines Good ? Not as good as OS!?
They’re good. But they’re not for racing.
Are you a Filipino sir?
I am a fan of nitro.
But lost me at the 3rd expecialy
you made a video on trx4 you used a motor from diff traxxas car in the trx4 ,,, can u remind me what motor that was
I have a nitro redcat tornado buggy for trade
i support RC Racing but like just wondering whyy do you say welcome to my “channel” its youtube NOT cable TV lol.?Love to race 1/8 RC watch ur stuff ….. i have videos on youtube from like 2008 running my quads so i have a channel also?
