  • How To Get Moisture Out Of An LCD or LED Monitor
I was given this monitor by the second hand store. It seems like it may have been left out in the garage for a while. Maybe just left in the collection bin during a rainy damp weekend. Either way, I now have a monitor that has water behind the screen. This video documents my adventures in cleaning it and getting it working again.

I will document my 55 inch 4k lcd tv progress
Day 1: the tv got water in it showing 4 medium to large spots around it! I tried to use the hair dryer but didnt work so i put the tv screen facing the radiator heater on medium heat! and the living room is set to high! Ill leave it like that for 2 days!
Day 3: the tv works and about 80% of moisture is gone, ill use it and update you guys tomorrow or the day after!
Day 5: it has dried with little to no traces left

If you are doing this method make sure to let your lcd cool off for split of a second when it goes black this way you won't damage and cause any dead pixels etc.

I dug out 2 old 1080p60hz monitors from my dad's studio which is now used as a storage room. It has a giant puddle of moisture in the middle on both monitors. It's not noticeable if you don't just have a black screen. My mom does not let me use her hairdryer so I think I'll have to leave it running. Had them since like a month by now but I don't have them on all the time so I think that's my problem. Thanks for the help!

I went with putting kitty litter on the screen overnight and it worked perfect!! A hot hair dryer placed too close may damage your screen, go with kitty litter or rice, lay the screen face up in a plastic bag and sprinkle the litter on the face where moisture appears and go to bed. In the morning dump the kitty litter into the plastic bag and wipe the screen with a soft cloth. Thanks for your help!
