A little hack if your interested..... you can stop a leg drag from here by simply redirecting the front kick to the face instead of stomach!! No ones going to drag or catch a kick to the face. A kick to the face can also be done much more snappy than one to the stomach can and still be effective, the extra snappy ness makes it doubly harder to counter. It will look the same (and elicit same response from opponent) as a kick to the stomach but of course it’s redirected to face, this of course assumes you got away without being caught the first time you kicked to the stomach and a small detail... front kick to face requires slightly closer distance than one to the stomach does. Small detail 2; it needs a great deal of hamstring flexibility that realistically not many people have.
Lol majid still squeezed in that last technique. These 2 guys got some of the best chemistry while delivering a+ content without bein too serious or fake.
I like Bas Rutten's reverse question mark kick, where he starts it out as a round kick but switches it to a front kick halfway through. It's easier for me to pull off than the question mark kick, especially now that I'm getting older and flexibility and knees are increasingly becoming an issue. Thanks for these counters - they're great!
@@1x1HealthyEnergybyAndrew I've replied to this twice, but it keeps getting deleted. Maybe I'm not allowed to post links? Either way, search TH-cam for Bas Rutten and Fight Tips. It should be the top video listed (title: Bas Rutten's MMA Fighting Style EXPLAINED! ). At around the 6:40 mark he goes into his reverse question mark kick.
The third technique at two minutes without the pull and when Brian said shoulder roll is what we call an incline for Wu Ying Tao. I do train it a lot in set work, but until I can pull it off in sparring that is when I start to get more confident with my timing.
5:07 This is why Bruce Lee said he fears the man who practiced his kick 10,000 times. It's because any technique will becomes a reflex, muscle memory. Practice practice and dont forget to practice
Sorry Coach Brian I been working hard everyday I’m gonna be watching love you and Majian I’m trying to meet you guys just it’s just taking me a lot of effort in doing so . Much love ☺️
Great counters, I was only ever taught. Parry right front kick with a slide left and parry with right arm which would not give a great counter tbh, just an avoidance tactic. Also the shin block would be great when cornered..
No joke, the first time I saw this technique was in a Tai Chi form, but I didn't really pay attention because it sounded so hokey in the context of Tai Chi. Having it described as, "Shift the dantian (abdomen) to divert the energy of the strike, then shift forward and punch." is not a great way to teach in retrospect haha
Majid, I am training every day with your channel, I wanted to ask you if you can put a video as a 1h /30 mins training session, I don't know what that would look like, it's probably really different than what I'm doing, thank you very much for the content
Every block is a strike opportunity Every evade is closing the gap Every backstep is a carry Every hip-switch is a roundhouse/back roundhouse... Every time your opponent is in motion - they put themselves at the mercy of danger.
Thanks for the video but when you pull the person by the leg you are too close for the punch and can break your fingers elbow is a better choice. Or just taking the back.
That is the same criticism that Aikido gets. "This would never work, that would never work" Of course it won't work if you don't practice it. As if you can learn a martial art sitting on your ass watching youtube videos.
My favorite instructor
One of his better videos. Probably top 3
Brian your gym space is amazing , love your content ...
Gym space, cause he's got the moneyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy !!!!

hey coach Brian, you should consider getting knee brace & collagen as they work wonders! best of luck to you both!

What?!
Awesome
Retract your kicks, even the thrust kick, even when it's caught.
