Two weeks of driver’s ed classes that did nothing but show us graphic videos to scare us out of texting and driving while they never taught us how to park. I learned more from TH-cam in terms of driving/parking than the class we paid for.
Fr those videos were freaky I have no clue why they’d even show that they could’ve just given you death statistics or maybe just the crashing of the car itself but they had to show their mangled dead bodies

in my drivers ed it's necessary to learn to park bec we have road ranges and we have to do 3 ranges and those ranges last 2 hours. 2 hours of just going under 5mph in a parking lot parking💀. they dont teach us this tho our parents have to teach us
Thank you for showing the mistakes people make. Sometimes I'm too nervous to think about what I should do so it's easier to focus on what not to do. I can also recognize my own mistakes and learn from that. If you were to only show me the correct way, I'd think "yeah that's what I'm doing".
This is very good for the left parking side, but for the right parking side, this won't work, the car MUST swing out to the wrong side of the road, put the right turn signal on, then pivot when the outside right mirror gets to the white line on the left, and turn the steering wheel 3 times, quickly HOH, HOH, HOH (hand over hand) the stop when the car is straight, then unwind the wheel to advance forward to the stopping point, which is match mirrors to side mirrors, or white line under mirror view.

this tutorial was incredibly instructive and i am definitely using it to practice for my license!
I always reverse into perpendicular parking spots because it's easier and safer. When I'm backing in I can see exactly where my back wheels are in relation to the parking spot, and I know I'm not too close to the cars next to me. Once my car is lined up, I straighten the steering and I know I'm centred in the spot. When I drive forward out of a parking spot I have a much better view of where I'm going, and It's easier to see if there are other cars and people going by.

The reason why people bump into the real panel is because they either drive too fast into the space, or the turn is too tight! All you have to do is take it easy, go wide, so you can get in the space straight-on, and get well-centered!
OR... would you rather waste an hour giving your insurance information to the other owner, a cop, or spend a week in the body shop?

With the B side, it is better to just reverse into it rather than have to go really close into the separator and make a steep turn. You might hit other cars going from opposite direction or the far corner at the top of your car can hit cars parked on the left side if your turn is not steep enough

Oh shit aight I see now so I’m basically driving in the opposite direction then turning last second and straightening it out, I’ve been pulling into the spot then readjusting by reversing.
I had a driver's ed teacher tell me the signal in Reverse backing out of my driveway. I live on a busy Street. So I will signal backing out of my driveway on the rare occasion I back out since I do actually have room to turn around in my driveway.

the turn should start when the nose of my car is 2 ft past the side of the car next to my space. Its important people understand just when to begin turning the wheel. I do like that you sa make it a late turn. I also have a video on my channel that shows such a method.

The reason I didn't parking correctly perpendicular in open parking lot is because I didn't turn my steering wheel a bit right even I aim in correctly because one side of steering wheel doesn't seem to be inside the parking lot lines?

This is not a very realistic video because there are no reverses and readjusting involved. You're not going to have it all that easy most of the time, unless you have a very wide parking space that is a no brainer. Whenever you have a tighter parking space, the front of your vehicle won't be able to turn all the way in, so you're going to have to reverse your car and readjust your position all the time. Same thing for spot B(the right). Even if you make room for yourself, you won't be able to turn all the way in like that, so you reverse and readjust.
