Rugrats was a product of its time. For me, it started to go down hill after the first movie. When we got older, we moved on to anime on Toonami, Pokemon, and Digimon. The kids born in the mid/late 90s had SpongeBob as that took over the world next. Rugrats, like 5th generation gaming and The Attitude era, were one of those things that you HAD to be there.
It was after the second movie for me. Rugrats in Paris is an even better movie than the first one, which was a little dark and depressing for its intended audience, and also I liked Kimi better than Dil because she actually did stuff other than exist in the background, and Kira's attempts to be a good mom to Chuckie in the episodes following the movie was really sweet. Sometime before the third movie it started degrading in quality for me and the third film that crossed over with The Wild Thornberrys was one of those things I watched a single time and decided I never needed to see again ever.
I can get what you’re saying, rugrats would still work for me today but I’m not sure wide audiences would agree. Great video. I kind of hope we do not get a reboot. Not everything needs to be rehashed. The original series had a great run, and a reboot would feel like nothing but a cash grab to me.
One more thing: i have to say the title is "All Grown Up" with no 's' at the end. First time i thought it was a misspeak and after that it was nails on a chalkboard. 🫣
But your content was engaging enough that I still very much wanted to hear your thoughts. So I gice this feedback respectfully. Quality content. Thank you for making this.
I appreciate your comment and thank you for your input! I’ve gotten a lot of comments about the all grown up(s) thing and I didn’t really understand why people were so mad at me about it but I’ll make sure I don’t make that mistake again.
And as far as the reboot goes, it’s already being made so I guess I might as well be hopeful that it’s good lol
I think it depends on the type audience you are aiming at the Rugrats the original was made for kids round 6 same can Ben say about the preschool days Rugrats was made for children at the age 7
I agree, the age range was pretty young
Ain’t no way that Baljeet was in this
Lmaooo apparently
Should’ve made it a nick jr show
Would have worked better like that tbh
Nicktoons where made with toys in mind first in fact Rocko had to have his color change from yellow to something else because they was a toy coming out that was all ready yellow and Anastasia was the first none Disney film to reach 100 million in the box office not Rugrats Rugrats was the first to only do it in the usa only
ah hell nah juju childish asf!
Lmaooooo
At least they included the four episodes on the two directed DVD Rugrats specials
Yeah I’m glad we got to see them
The real reason preschool days was canceled is Nick caught the rumors circulating on the web about Tommy and the gang being nothing more than the imagination of a mentally unstable Angelica and preschool days would give them more fuel 😂
I freaking remember that theory lmaooo, I don’t know why I believed that as a kid
I stopped by the 1:23 minutes into.
Get to the point 👉
Yeah that’s fair, I do give a lot of unnecessary history in this video. Sorry
@@ChildishjuIt's just a perfectionist hating on your video
The video was good don't worry about it 👍
Dorito guy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 and he’s my favorite character to on phineas and ferb
Lmaooo baljeet is the best!
I barely remember this and forget the show existed
Yeah most people do lol
The new cg Rugrats was not only canceled, but removed from streaming as well? Yikes. I only ever saw clips of it, and had a feeling it wouldn’t do well, but man, it seems like it did even worse than I expected.
Yeah they ended it rather fast and it kinda makes me worry for the future of the rugrats.
@@Childishju Well they have a fun looking game coming out so theres that. If anything they would hopefully just sweep that weird and random reboot under the rug and figure it out from there.
Am I not the only one who thinks that this spinoff looks like cheap Newgrounds cartoon?
No the artstyle in preschool daze looks very ugly
I can see why you’d think that lol
Lol xD
Bro re record and say all grown up not all grown ups
I’m not tryna be mean, but is it really that big of a deal? I’ve gotten this comment a few times.
Dil ruined the Rugrats
After the movie the show went downhill hill at breakneck speed
And we got older and moved on to Toonami which allowed Spongebob to take over the world next.
this Rugrats spin-off was Lost Media and it Kinda Shares animation With Big Mouth Just trying to be true
Yeah that’s a good comparison but big mouth art style isn’t my cup of tea
Wasnt it called "all growed up"?
For a period of time yeah but then it was changed to all grown up, it was a weird title change lol
