Love these ships. Pledged for a Hull B and C. B is the largest I will fly solo, while C will require some support. If I am in a suitably large org when D arrives, I may have that as an in-game goal. Thanks for yet another great video! o7
I definitely want more MISC ships in-game. Not cause I really like to fly them, nor am I a huge fan of their designs, but the Hull Series has some MASSIVE ships I just wanna see up close. They'll be damn impressive to look at, milling around and docked at stations. Great vid Paul! 😎🦎
As someone that fondly remembers the Freelancer video game, I feel like the Hull series is the Star Citizen analog to those large bulk freighters (excluded from Player usage in Freelancer) that 'everyone' uses the same stock design for. In Freelancer, that is a design-effort/data-storage limitation, whilst in Star Citizen such a 'Stock Bulk Freighter' is a wild bit of world-building (and a means for 'everyone' in Star Citizen to 'eventually' use the same super-freighter).
I'm eager to put my Hull-E to work, the ungodly amount of cargo that thing can do is insane. It will hopefully be a huge money maker chaining multiple large cargo contracts through various systems. the E was a must buy for me back when they were concepted.
I kinda wonder why they can't just have a placeholder that's just number spreadsheets representing the universe economy. And fudge numbers so that trading isn't so broken people are spending millions just to make 100k credits
@@rolanders7553 currently the record holder ship has a capacity of 24,346 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU). A TEU is equivalent to more or less 20 SCU of cargo. So if you do the math the current record holder ship has a little under 5 times as much cargo capacity as the Hull E!
I’d like to add that the fact that the devs making the largest and most expensive ship is the entire UEE have 5 times less cargo capacity as a modern day super freighter (which should be equivalent or less) is a huge oversight! Why would humanity’s shipping capacity be less than it is today 900 years in the future.
@@TheAstroHistorian I know, it does not make sense until we have Pyro. But I just hope they will give us cargo missions for big hauls. Even though it does not make sense in one system . Hopeium 😂

I think I MISC'ed the last video, but this was a Hull of a story.

I want my B. Sweet spot for single cargo ship.
These videos are amazing:0 great work and I hope you continue to make these as long as starcitizen lives!
I hope so too!
@@TheAstroHistorianI’m going to get the Hull E

Good shit, Paul. Can't wait for the larger Hull ships to be in-game... so the pirates will leave my poor Nomad alone!
Very informative. I can't wait to get my Hull B. Your infomation and presentation earned you another subscriber. Thank you
I can't wait for the entire Hull series to be out and I'll own every single cargo ship.
The Hull-E EverGiven is stuck sideways in the Terra Jumppoint, clearly causing major trade delays and why the jump point is closed. 🤔jokes of course
oh man this was amusing alot.. idk why. thanks for clearing that out
I LOVE ship lore videos, the concept art scroll in the background is genuinely so relaxing. Thanks for sharing :)
Fantastic episode
I think, the ships are *HULL* lot of amazing feats!
Also, [7:36] "She's a Brick... HOOOUZE!"
Great vid:). I had a Hull D but melted it.....
I am looking forward to the Cargo System Refactor.
love these videos being a lore junkie
Excellent story Paul!!!

There needs to be an economy to support the Hull series, you cannot land planet-side with the B-E with cargo.
B is debatable, at one point it was slated to be able to land fully loaded or just with 3 of the 4 arms loaded. That may change though.
I love your lore videos! Please make a lore video about the Kraken, Liberator and Odyssey please!
Very cool. I love the ship series of lore.
Thats a Hull lot of Hulls

Completely agree
Keep em coming Paul, love these.
Fun fact: The Hull-E actually carries less cargo then a current-day super container ship.
Agreed did the math a while back hull e only adds up to about 3063 conxs where there are super freighters that push 20k conx containers

0:52 I'm sorry, is that a Mistah Sparkùl Simpsons reference?
Maybe?
Hull B will B the best
I C what you did there.
Do hope hull C will be released as a surprise in 3.18....👍😲
Putting into context the sheer volume of cargo that thing can run I don't think we'll see the C until after 4.0 sadly.

Would be nice but not holding my breath
I'll take ships we won't see for another 10 years Alex.
Hull A is in game now and Hull C is finished waiting for content to catch up.
