A cervical disc replacement is a spine surgery to replace a degenerated (deteriorated) disc in the neck with an artificial disc. The artificial disc, like the natural healthy disc, is used to replace the degenerated disc. It restores the height between the two cervical vertebrae, enlarging the neural foramen (nerve passageway in the spine) and relieving the pressure on the spinal nerves. This stabilizes the cervical spine and restores normal mobility of the neck.

I had this Nuvasive procedure done a month ago. Has been a blessing and took away all my pain from my spinal cord and nerve branch compression at C5-C6. Very grateful that I am recovering well, and happy that I regained my mobility in my left arm.
Highly recommend for anyone considering to seek an experienced spinal surgeon and get it done. Won’t regret it.

hey, i know it's been a year. couple of questions: firstly, how are you feeling these days? and secondly, how do I persuade my doctor/insurance to use the Nuvasive disc instead of, for example, Mobi-c?

@@georgemartyn5268 I feel amazing. Back to normal. No pain. Full mobility of my neck. Only issue with my surgery was the recovery from the ventilator during anesthesia. Past smoker, so my lungs took a little longer to recover. And first time being intubated.
I would contact a Nuvasive representative and see if they can make a deal with doctor. According to their current data, Nuvasive is regarded as #1 success rate for disc replacement. I believe it.

Hey there, I do about 15 new patient telemedicines💻🌎 every week. Here is the best path forward:
1- email your insurance card to Spine@TSCspine.com (We don’t take HMOs or Medicaid, but can private pay, unless Medicaid)
2- if we take that insurance THEN upload your images to my portal for our 1st visit.
3- I must have X-rays and MRI, X-rays are critical! “Just” MRI isn’t enough. Need to be from last 12 months. Nothing older is needed, or wanted.
4- You need to get your CD 💿 of your X-ray and MRI (imaging centers will never send them to us)
5- On the top of my website (www.DonnallySpine.com) is the link to UPLOAD images, from YOUR HOME! 🤯🥰 (or at a CVS with Physician LookUp Code k5037438)
6- To recap: email us, get CDs, THEN upload!

Hi, I have C5-C6 level herniation, at times I feel losing balance, dizziness, sharp pinching head ache, ear block, tingling etc. is that a cervical myelopathy ?.
My doctor told me mine is not a severe case and concluded its radiculopathy based on MRI and clinical diagnosis.
However the above issues felt when the vertebrae moves out of place (mild movement) I can slightly push back from the neck. I can hear light clicking sound when it move back in its place and it moves back I laydown for sometime and gets better. can you please comment on this and what would be my options.
as i suspect during the MRI the Vertebrae must have been in it correct place.

I had C 5,6,and 7 done for herniation and injury-induced stenosis recently. I had those symptoms too, and it's pressure on nerves doing it, friend. The vertebrae in my neck are absolutely not stable and now that I'm waiting on C 2&3 to be surgically repaired, I really notice the issues up there because of the correction below ot puts more pressure on a weak area.

It’s a huge debate. If you see 3 level you automatically know it’s a cash surgery. Which is okay. But if you’re gonna push the limits, docs shouldn’t rob ppl.
And THEN the argument goes- okay so you’re telling me that all three of these levels had a symptomatic disc causing nerve compression? All at the same time it became symptomatic? Not just 1 or 2 of them?
Or are you instead saying these three levels had disc degeneration causing axial neck pain, sooooo your treatment was do a motion sparing procedure- and no pain was actually coming from the facets?! But you were that confident the degenerative disc was causing the actual neck pain, not the stressed facets?
The short version is yes, some ppl will do three levels and I know those patients will be fine for a good while, but did they really need all 3?
