Hey Rob, please let someone know about the headstone. Either authorities, previous owner of the property or search for the family. Those 2 names on the head stone were loved people on earth at some point. It would be respectful to have them laid to rest in a proper burial site.

The videos of you, bobby and kaden inspired me to make my own freshwater aquarium. I live in austria where the rules to catch wild fish, espeacially alive are much harder. Still i am trying to mostly fill it with wild caught fish and it became such a nice hobby.

Did some research on the gravestone. It must be a duplicate or a memorial stone as the couple is interred at a public cemetery in Delray Beach. I guess they must have a history with the property or former property owner. Loving these videos

I REALLY HOPE YOU FIND OUT WHAT THAT TURTLE IS! We have a full grown one in our pond (Louisiana) and no one knows what it is!!!! Not even our Vet! Their necks are so long they sleep with it rapped around side of body! Crazy cool! Great video!

The bulldozed grave marker is kinda troubling. Not sure about folks buried on private property even in my state but it seems like there should be some regulations about moving everything including the headstone?! IDK, might have to look it up. (Edit, looked It up. 872.02 sub sections (1-5) cover it. They don't specifically mention home burial but do say these laws cover "any mausoleum, columbarium, or underground crypt." I wonder whether the couple have any surviving family? I'm probably overthinking this.
6:11 that is an african butterfly fish. I don't think its listed as established or even cataloged in SFL FW waters. Excellent find!
8:03 grave markers like that SMH someone is in trouble! You are supposed to move graves so you don't find a coffin while building a commercial building or a homeowner digs up a skeleton.
14:02 I think the plant is called Cabomba, if I recall correctly. It as popular as a hiding place if you were breeding live bearers, like what you caught. Also, make sure you don't mix any Gambusia in with the live bearers or the Gambusia will kill them. Gambusia can have a melanistic form, spotted black to one degree or another. I think there are G. affinis and holbrookii in SFL, but I could be wrong on that.

27:56 I am not up on my turtles, so I checked around. I think you have juvenile Florida Softshell Turtle. Apparently, there is a viral disease outbreak concerning these turtles. I did find this: " On August 26, 2021, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) issued executive order #21-19 that states the take or transport of all freshwater softshell turtle species is currently prohibited until the order is repealed." Considering the pond is going to be filled in, I think its OK to remove the turtle and relocate it elsewhere but not sure what the FWC or your local game warden would say.

Excellent to have more Geos to grow on and with the Butterflyfish and Synodotis a superb set of catches. Try more traps and just leave them without disturbance. Too many good things in this area.

Rob its a Nilssonia nigricans or black soft shell turtle from india and there critically endangered but not protected by law so your ok and this is probley captive bred and was probley very expensive

it is a stripped Raphael catfish Platydoras species. that African butterfly fish is probably the coolest thing that you have caught. I really appreciate that you are trying to learn the names of these fish.
So random, but carry a bottle of rubbing alcohol with you. For leaches and snakes. The leaches with just fall off and a python will release if you pour rubbing alcohol on its face
