Got some locust, can’t believe the size of the thorns! 2 to 3”. Cut thorns off with axe, roll and check twice before trying to lift!

This stuff don't have any thorns thankfully. You guys have told me it's called honey locust

@@survivingcountrylife7069 it is honey locust which has a thornless variety and burns good but its distant cousin the black locust splits far easier and burns way hotter and grows like a weed

Thanks for the video! I love your Eastonmade's 'Bring me another one! This one's ripped ..er.. split!' attitude! Even with those gnarly, stringy black locust crotches. Cheers!

Looks like you have a great jump on next year’s firewood. For the record your hoodie is a JPF & SCL hybrid hoodie. Cool looking hackberry log.

Hey Ben that Honey Locust is great wood!!!
Throw those Locust crotches in boiler, don’t try to split them they will destroy your splitter.

On your video @ 10:15/15:36 when you get that log stick, instead of a hammer use the Hyd. to pull it off. Keep a length of chain with a hook on it. Wrap it around the pc. of wood and onto your pusher and pull it back off the splitter. let the machine do the work. Hope this Helps. Try this Ben. Also @ 10:47 I see the geese's shadow fly over your head. You can hear them. Hey Ben are your RPM's up the splitter is not pushing very fast. Hey Ben, go to GP outdoors and watch how fast his Eastonmade is, I think your runs slow. Check it out.
