Thanks Bill! I’m 6 months pregnant today and after the tap sitting in the cupboard for a few months, I decided I didn’t need hubby and I could do it on my own. With your video I crushed it 🙌
Thanks for the tutorial bro. Just shot down to bunnings got the same mixer ($35) and mixer tap spanner set ($12) $45 all up, took me least then 20 mins. Plumber was going to charge me $300 😂. Your a legend
I’m glad this video showed me the tap spanners. I was scratching my head wondering how I was going to get my hands up into the very tight corner up behind the bowl. Great vid👌
Thank you so much, you saved my day. I tossed my old mixer with nothing wrong with it. I just didn't know how to remove it of the sink, so I bought a new one. Your video is to the point with no blah blah talk and bullshit. GOD bless you mate!
I LOVE your straightforward videos!! I thought I would need a plumber to do this but I am going to do it!! I recently installed a toilet cistern and seat after watching your video of the same brand. I am so proud of myself.
I’m from Brisbane and went straight to The hardware store to buy this exact Tap…very articulate, precise instructions. It’s so much easier following your presentation rather than looking at a diagram. Thankyou Bill 👊👊👊👊
Bill, my tap was annoying me for a few months, found your video last night and fixed it as soon I got home thanks to your simple instructions. Thank you :)
Thank you, straight forward and well explained. Female here, and I haven't done this before. I rang 3 plumbers, exorbitant prices quoted, such as $352 ffs (my lovely kind honest in his 70"s just round the corner handyman is out of town) With myself having a background in props making I thought hmm,, bugger these arrogant and greedy cowboys, had a look under the sink, yeah that doesn't look too hard. Popped down to Bunnings, got the Estilo tap that matches the one already there (this one is $48). Got the whole thing done myself. So thanks for the help!
Legend! My son and I followed this exactly and its works like a charm !! Many many thanks, saved $$ and such a feeling of accomplishment. It was a great guide 😊
A great help. Three things made it much simpler for me. I removed the horizontal drainpipe to give me more room to move. Then assembled the bolt and flat washer and plate above the sink with enough slack to pass it though the hole with a bit of jiggling. This saved trying to assemble it in the dark underneath. I bought a tube spanner kit ($12). The 11mm tube slotted into the 14mm tube giving me a long extension. Tightening was a breeze. Twenty minutes from beginning to end. Thanks.
Cheers for the help just installed the exact same mixer in the kitchen. for some reason I just was not thinking to use a tube spanner now I own a set as I am sure this wont be the last time I do this. Thank you very much for the video.
nice one mate. I was going to attempt to change a cartridge, but the tap was looking a bit rough and the price difference between cartridge and new tap was like, 5 bucks. This is HEAPS easier than changing a cartridge too. Chur!
First video that comes up helped me install my tap perfectly 👌 I figured i could sort it out after 4:20 .. and immediately fixed it out of line because i didnt check the swivel, which is the very next instruction haha Thanks for the effort 👍
JUST what I was looking for!!! My exact tap and all - except the only part we need to replace is the mounting kit (flenge?) at 3:27 . The old one rusted, fell off and left the tap looking how yours did at the start of the video. Thankyou!
Greetings from New Zealand, I love your common sense approach and explanations as to why you must do things a certain way. I notice that the screw fittings for some tap mixers have changed, instead of those pesky thin screw fittings, that were always so difficult to reach, many taps now have a bulkier screw fitting, which makes it easy to tighten the tap body to the bench with your hand.
Hey top simple great instructions, especially the tip on ,using those tube scanners! I was doing my head in because of tight access , tightening. Thanks mate, you’ve made my job easier.
100% .. if I didn't watch the video before I started, I wouldn't have known about the tube spanners and it would have meant another 100km round trip into town!
G'day Bill. After a stalled start, I just installed a mixer tap, where there was previously a hot and cold tap in my kitchen sink. The project stalled when I struggled to remove the existing hardware - the flexi hoses went to the individual hot and cold taps, with a "U" shaped copper pipe then going to the spout. I couldn't get enough purchase on end of the pipe to unscrew it from the spout, so I had to cut the copper pipe, and was then able to use a plumber's spanner to undo it. Haven't removed the old hot and cold taps from the sink yet, but at least I have a new mixer that reaches the basins really well.
good video mate .Great effort .Funnily enough my mothers mixer tap is pissing water from the base and somewhere inbetween but its like 15 years old now ,i might get a new one at Bunnings for her tomorrow and change it
Thanks Bill, I changed my kitchen tap today. Easier than making a cake. There are 2 tips I would like to share. 1. Please check the size of your old tap before going to upgrade fancy one. I was going to fit a retractable head but I found the original hole is only 20mm. So after visiting Bunning Wearhouse third time, back to basic version$35.97. 2. Please turn on all your house taps on to let the extra water out before you unscrew the hot and cold pipe off if you do not have a water turn off buttons under you sink. Otherwise, the excess water will leaking your kitchen pretty bad.
Good points, I just ask that question, if the base fittings etc on the taps are a standard size re the hole, I’ll be taking my old tap in just to make sure 👍
Thanks Bill! I made a lil mess but got there in the end! Aha thanks Ps. Don’t forget to turn off the mains water supply and get tons of rags to catch leaks
thank you for being strait to the point, not waffling on for 20 years about stuff. thank you sir! legendary video
Finally a straight forward instructional video - no 3 part series, not overly long, just right to the point. Thanks very much!
Lol, you’re very welcome 👍
