The prosecutor who called Sarah Pender a “female Charles Manson” now says she should be free. They used a supposed confession letter against her in court that was supplied by the actual k*ller and forged by his cellmate. They’ve both taken responsibility, the bf for the shooting and the cellmate for the forgery. A student group from Georgetown University is now trying to get Sarah Pender freed or a new trial. She bought the gun, she helped dispose of the bodies and she escaped. She wasn’t a “mastermind” and she’s not half as intelligent as the prison system thinks she is, either that or she’s having those fugue-type seizures. Her 5 years of college is most likely from a bible college correspondence course while in solitary. This documentary must have embarrassed that prison-not long after Sir Trevor’s visit she was finally released from solitary. She did 1870 days in solitary for escape.

So...a 16 year old child is getting lifesentence because she started a fire in order to escape the abuse she had to endure. Then, she tried to resue the victims while getting burned herself, but it was already too late. It's astaunishing!
I'm not from the USA. But I can not imagine putting a CHILD in prison FOR LIFE, instead of giving her traumatherapy, while at the same time making her see the consequences of her action wich she (remember this) committed when she was only a child in danger.
This is wrong on so many levels! This has nothing to do with serving justice and has nothing to do with protecting society from potential harm.

@@fullthrottlemaxrpm You're right. Six lifes ended, I agree. But it was not her intention to kill anyone, not even one person, and because she was a child, her brain could not oversee the consequences of her action. Every childs brain is undeveloped! Let alone the brain of a child who is ALSO being abused and traumatised. So I feel we have to take that in consideration.
And I feel as adults, we also have to take responsibility for our fails to keep this kid protected and to prevent kids from doing things with fatal outcome.

But the fact is most of these criminals are manipulators and prey on the good will of people who trusted them. All of these documentaries should include interviews with their victims, or at least detailed accounts of their crimes, but that's never a part of any of this.
