Great video Brian! Love your content. I've recently started learning code. The transition to a totally different field is a bit scary . Car tech to a software engineer. I'm not there yet though but working my butt off whenever I have time to learn.

Voice overs are better for short-form videos on other platforms such as Tiktok or IG stories, so far your captions and entire video is great.
That’s a good take. Thanks for tuning in, btw! :) My only concern with the captions is that it sorta limits viewers to just reading English. Where as voice can have auto-generated captions 🤔

About the captions vs voice overs, I think captions are great at least for me when they are in short parts. Longer explanations work better with the voice overs. Would love a mix of the videos with captions but also some with voiceovers. The aesthetic of your place and the office blend together well which makes your videos very pleasant to watch whether you’re speaking or not, but I do enjoy voiceovers and because you’re soft spoken, it’s almost slightly like ASMR, which I love!
That's probably what I'll do. A mix of both. Because some do like the more chill approach to reading captions, but maybe for coding sections where I mention more things I can switch to voice-over to make it easier to follow too. Thanks for the feedback :D
I think for me not having a voiceover makes me read and try to understand what you are applying to the video, but tbh it's something you decide . Both are great

Now that you ask....I think if you just put out 1 or 2 more videos of your day...Maybe then you cud show videos of walking through the streets of Texas that captures the best of this great city...I dunno 😕...This type of stuff keeping it specific is difficult...But if your focus is on just aesthetics & landscape...There's tons of stuff you could explore to show... 🙄
Make a video on how to find a job for a beginner, and where to start, that is, with an internship or with a junior level. I am currently learning Python and its Django framework.
I'm studying next js 13 and I can't wait to use at a product level!!!

Literally the most underrated TH-camr/Software Engineer. You put alot of effort into your videos and thumbnails, and your literally a cracked programmer to work at Hines, worked at the same place btw, but I wasn't as productive. 😂

PLEASE do a voice over. Often, I find myself getting distracted by your video instead of reading your captions so I think doing a voice over would be a great idea. Your videos are great thanks!

@@brianruizy I got a old 12 inch MacBook and I think I'll wait for the M4 cause I don't use my MacBook to code. Plus I got a Mac Studio just last month, and I work from home. I just use a MacBook to respond to emails and watch stuff. But that MacBook is getting old and slow so maybe I might get a M3 Air when it releases.

Good point lol. As you can see I am wearing lighter clothes now lol. But that too trip is only 10 minutes and e-bike means I don’t put as much work.

@@brianruizy Yes sir. Houston. I wfh but I also work from CommonDesk. A 10-minute commute on an e-bike doesn't sound that bad and luckily the building probably block a good amount of sunlight.
