@@madmax6654 Depending on your home country you may be able to travel to Japan visa free for up to 90 days (not sure how covid is affecting this currently). Try it for that amount of time and see if you can handle the costs. I notice a lot of TH-cam videos show tips and tricks as far as cheaper lodging and transportation such as train passes for foreigners. While there are definitely regular people living in Japan there has also developed a class of people who aren't doing too well and are staying in pod hotels as they're otherwise homeless so... you are probably looking for something a little bit above that level of existence especially depending on what you're used to in your home country.
ikr, she's studying in waseda which is have expensive tuition there. So her hardwork is really makes me admire her so much ^^

Remember if 3000 yen worth 10 minutes, it means per minutes they earn 300, and if its three hour it means 180 minutes multiply 300 then they got 54000 yen, which equals to 475 dollars nowadays rate!

Usually I’m not into this type of content, But with youtube suggestions I ran into a few walking videos. it has become beyond interesting seeing how cheerful they are interacting with other on her way to places, while keeping a steady conversation with you and learning in the process. @@__tachibana8072 For western people, Terachan and Torachan can sound very similar. Especially with background noise and when reading Kanji is difficult. It's nice that he corrected it in this video, I think.
feel like this is the good way to learn japanese especially if you are in intermediate level, and wish to improve even further. They will try to make small talk with you and this is a great opportunity to speak with them in japanese

Everyone loves Tera-chan but this girl, Airi is very nice too! I would feel uncomfortable having a young woman pulling me around. I don't know. As a Westerner, it just doesn't seem right. I hope it is not difficult for them.
The rickshaws are engineered to make the effort fairly minimal. The passengers weight is distributed towards the ground at the back. That makes the lifting that the driver has to do easier as it is balanced. Once the handles are at waist level it's more about pushing than lifting. The wheels have very well engineered bearings. Again once the first inertia is overcome the effort required to maintain forward motion is minimal. I'm not saying you don't have to be fit to do it but it's probably not the grind it might appear to be. 😉

It's probably expensive but rightfully so considering they are pulling weight all across Tokyo or anywhere else in Japan. I'm over 200 pounds I'm by no means a tiny individual and would pay good money for these hard working people to help me out. Another point would be there body's are pounding on concrete etc .

Thank you for posting these videos. I miss Japan so much, I have visited at least 20 times, but it's been a few years now and I'd been hoping to move right around the time the pandemic started. This gives me some feeling of being on the streets of Tokyo again, it's so nice to see the kind and sweet personality of Japanese people and see the sights and sounds as they are today, once again.

If I remember correctly 30 min last time was 3000 yen, then it was shortened to 15 min which was 3000 yen now 10 min is 3000 yen?? I never like cameraman hiding behind the camera, without face shown transparently, when he is capturing Girls and ladies. It's abit uncomfortable.
The one thing that amazed me in Japan, was how clean the streets were. Literally could eat off them.
These young people who do these rickshaw rides are the best ambassadors that Japan could ever wish for.

Really enjoy watching the rickshaw rides
Airi chan so young and pretty guide as well pointing things out features that bring people there. The Edo period she mentions about the streets I only saw in cartoon like presentations, that she actually brought to life right into the now time period of early Japan. Add to that the rickshaw and they dress the time frame. This is a win over covid. And with positive planning, people enjoy being out and about.
