    Modrock/plaster bandage is so much easier to work with compared to paper/glue especially when working with cast rocks.

    • @ThatModelRailwayGuy
      @ThatModelRailwayGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah definitely. It's not impossible with paper mache but the plaster bandage just give you more of a solid surface. Thanks for watching 😃

      The Geoscenics products do work really well! It was actually their Siding Kit I used for the yard and the Pot Hole Road Kit was used for the road on the upper level. Thanks for watching 🎅

    I've never really set up a full layout per se around my tree, but I always have a little loop. I never realized how nice my Caley 812 looks under Christmas lights. Nice video! :)

    • @ThatModelRailwayGuy
      @ThatModelRailwayGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A little loop round the tree is where all this started really... I've just taken it to the extreme. I imagine the 812 would look good under the lights especially in those pre-grouping liveries too! Thanks for watching 😃

    I love hot you manage to make landscapes realistic by not being perfect. Even real life places aren’t perfect.

    • @ThatModelRailwayGuy
      @ThatModelRailwayGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I know what you've mean, I've seen layouts that look so perfect that despite incredible modelling end up looking a bit toy-like. It's definitely in my nature to build quickly and not agonise endlessly about getting it right. I just work around my mistakes 😅 Thanks for watching 👍

    • @ThatModelRailwayGuy

    @TheAntisocialTrain ปีที่แล้ว

    Amazing work, everything is beginning to look a lot like Christmas if you get my gist.
    Couple of questions, how big is the board, and can you get a bogie coach through that station? I'm thinking of making a year round version of this.

    • @ThatModelRailwayGuy
      @ThatModelRailwayGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Rory. The board is roughly an 80cm square. As for the station, I haven't tried to get a bogie coach through it but I think there might just about be space. The platform kits were designed for Radius 1 curves so you could just pull them back a bit away from the track if you wanted to run longer coaches. Thanks for watching 😃

      Sorry George but the Channel Memberships are what allows me to keep making these types of videos. I don't think a 1 min ad in during the video and reminder at the end is too much considering the episodes are over 20 mins long and of course there is no obligation to join.
