Things really kick up a notch in this episode in my endeavour to build a model railway round a Christmas tree! The scenery really starts to come to life on North Poleton as the static grass and foliage is added. The addition of dry stone walls, fencing, street lamps and more details around the railway really help bring the scene together too before the snow starts to fall!

The layout has really come to life now, the static grass, the fencing and the trees are such a big part of any layout and a small train looks so good running through it, brilliant job 😀

I was talking to one on my German freinds yesterday and explaining how people have ordered Christmas presents in October days before royal mail decided to have a couple months on holiday.

Hello TMRG I do like the style of these little series of videos you are doing (and the ones previously of Gofod Tynn), easy to watch and learn from, hopefully you will carry on next year with the 'modular' layout too. Thanks, Merry Christmas and have Happy New Year

What species do you use for Christmas trees in your area? It took me off guard to hear someone say that Douglas Fir isn't really what you'd see used for a Christmas tree - they're the species we use most here. But they're super common here. I guess I never thought about it before. Of course people use different trees in different parts of the world! Haha neat.
