You're cheating though. You did portraits with Georgia and you can use any camera for her with exceptional results. On a serious note, people need to try this system. Whatever you imagine amazing image quality to be, it's not enough. It's on a different level.
I have this camera and I've had it for about six weeks and everything in the video that Lee says is true. It is a phenomenal camera. I should've variety of different WORK predominantly landscapes but I do some other stuff as well. And the auto focus on people is really good and snappy. It's very close to a full frame camera now I know there has been a lot of controversy around Fujifilm. Focus on the X series cameras but I did not find that issue with this camera I found that it hit the eye every single time it there is sometimes a little small moving of the auto focus but I was able to fix this through changing a few of the settings. And the files are just amazing. The actual Text on the outside of the camera is phenomenal as well. It actually aids the grip. I do use a wrist strap on all of my cameras as I find that it convenient way to get low or higher but the actual feel of the camera is amazing. And Lee is right about the cropping ability think of it as having extra lenses you could shoot a 200 mm shot and cropping 100% and still retain a 50 megapixel file and get a 400 mm shot so you could shoot something at 400 mm and it's still a 50 megapixel file and Pin sharp. It's an absolute game changer. People will complain about the price of the lenses or the lack of lenses. This is not true if you actually look at the whole range of lenses that they have they cover every focal length with often two or three options. They don't have huge range of full frame lenses that some of the other brands have but they have at least two options sometimes three in every focal length there is enough choice. I think down the track it would be fantastic if some other lens manufacturers light Tamron and someone were able to enter the market. I know you can use full frame lenses but I'm not a fan of that but overall I would get this camera 9 outa 10 ...
Excellent video. I have the 50s II and I'm looking at upgrading to the 100s II. I'm convinced that the 100s II would be perfect for me and the work I create.
Such an excellent video. I left the world of medium format film for A Canon 5D classic. I never looked back, though the transition was not necessarily an easy one. I'm now using full frome Sony gear and full frame Canon gear (mirrorless for both brands). But man am I craving these medium format Fuji machines. Thanks for posting this video. I suspect it will help a lot of us make new and better purchases in future.
Nice video explainer! Which Minolta lens are you fitting to the 100SiI? and are you just working with one Minolta lens focal length, or have you tried others?
These pictures are so stunning and beautiful 👏 may I ask where and how you get these beautiful models or do you book them? These days its pretty hard to find models as beautiful as yours on a tfp basis at least here in Germany …cheers excellent content
Without the much better EVF, there is almost no compelling reason for 90% of potential GFX buyers to get the 100II. The 100SII undercuts the flagship that much...this coming from a 100II owner.
One of the bigger advantages with the GFX 100II, if the consumer is looking for the best of both worlds, the GFX 100II would be a no brainer. It has TONS of video features that never made it into the 100sii (makes sense from the price point) and the best image quality for stills. If only I could afford it! haha

You caught me! Georgia or any professional models made my images exceptionally AMAZING.

I loved your pictures!!!! well done and thanks for your video. I think you just sold me on upgrading from the 50S ii
I’m glad!!! Just make sure you get more storage space for the bigger files!

Is there any trick to learn to properly manual focus? Even with APSC cameras it seems difficult in portraits to manual focus
Great question... I usually put center subject to gauge the focus. If i'm able to nail the center!
Happy for you, their GFX line is absolutely amazing. Could you upload couple raw files for us to edit? I would like to see and try some edit. Thanks!
Yo... what film simulation you are using as a base. The color is beautiful
I would start out with classic chrome!
Just got mine today big leap from my 50s. I do miss the articulating viewfinder. Waiting for the 55 1.7. The Mitakon still holding it down though.
We'd love to see more photos from this camera paired with the 80 👍
Will do!

What's your color grade? I liked creamy look
You must be asked a lot but love the look of this video, at the beginning, what camera do you use ?
It's the Lumix S5IIX + Sigma 24-70MM 2.8 MK2!
using lightroom or capture one?
Capture one :)
Any recommendations for other medium format cameras on the "affordable medium format" side😂?
That’s a tough one. If you could find a used GFX 50sii or a 50R used, that would be it!
@@lee.ronin.photography 50s is cheap now. amazing IQ, just on the slow side (:
Nice Video, What is the manual focus vintage lens did you use?
I use the following
- Mamiya 55MM F2.8 & 80MM F1.9
- Mitakon 65MM F1.4
@@lee.ronin.photography you mentioned a minolta in your video but i can not hear it clearly. Is it one of these? Thanks
@@mycomments7534 Oh yes! The minolta Rokkor 45mm f2 lens! It covers the whole sensor :)
OMG...... love this
don't make us spend more money
Fyi you can clip the mic on your shirt. Why people keep holding it while talking i dont get it 😂
I prefer holding it :)
hey so why did I look this camera up and it was $6,000+ 😂😭
LOL! I promise you, Its worth every penny for the image quality!
