I liked him in Alone when he said that he needed the money because he wanted to work less and have more time to invest in his kids making them into good people. He said his daughter was smart but that it meant nothing if he couldn’t invest in her soul making her a kind person or something along those lines.

That's a story. This man has a story. You deserve to be on this show Jordan and you sure as shit deserved to win the Alone show. What a beast.

I was lying down and episode randomly came on while I was half asleep and I woke up and was like who the fuck is this dude and why is his story so damn interesting!
oh yeah. i could see joe going up to idaho for a hunt or camp trip with this guy in the future. they seem to gel well and both seemed like they had a lot to learn from each other.
I caught this show in Netflix. Jordan is a beast. Everyone else was struggling and starving and Jordan was like "hmmm, what should I eat today? fish, rabbit, or moose?"
One free flowing convo that kept Joe's interest. It's almost like they were friends to begin with. Joe must have been really interested in having him on.
Nope, he just seems like a dude you'd meet and play pool or darts with. Very down to earth. Then he'd start telling cool stories about his journey. He smiles a lot and genuinely seems like a great person. The world could use more people like him.

Sometimes better not to know. Mine told me she would have had an abortion but it was too risky at the time. He should enjoy the family that actually wanted him.

It may have been due to the editing, but he was one of the only people on that show to last past forty days and not have some sort of emotional breakdown. The dude was chill the entire time.

Loved how he set the tone of the bat and prefaced the interview with him being a believer. Not one cuss word throughout when Rogan makes it so easy and talks about his mission work without any dogma. This my friends is a true Christian with grace and humility.
In the back of my mind, I often judge guests based on if they acknowledge Jamie or not. It's a great moment when they do, and feels odd when they don't.
This dude is almost too humble, not only did no one in his season kill a moose, no one in the previous 5 seasons before him managed to kill any big game. He was an absolute beast, so much better than anyone else who has ever done it, and they ALL consider themselves wilderness survival experts.
Not to take anything away from this absolute beast of a man, he is unfucking believable, but luck is a huge factor. Certain seasons they are not allowed to kill big game.
@@edgarabramz Ahmen, Brother. Luck is huge... especially on the location you end up with from go. The participants arent allowed to go full nomadic.... so salmon runs become important. :)
Started watching the show after listening to this podcast and feel so sorry for the one guy who is like I'm gonna game this to win, I've watched every episode and have not chosen a bow because I think it's a waste, no one catches big game , then Jordan basically catches the moose in the same episode ,

@Mayan Ruins I agree. It's weird. It's like they all took the same little survivalist classes and don't actually know anything about the outdoors. You never see them actually putting in the work to learn the land and habits of the local fauna, they just kind of wander outside like "well.. I don't see any deer around, guess I'll have to eat some tree bark", lol. Like they're expecting the animals to come to them. They kill birds and trap rabbits a bit, catch fish, but yeah never big game except for Jordan, and it's because they don't understand the dedication to a specific animal it takes to get the better of it.
I've seen every season of History's Alone. Most of the time contestants are suffering and emotionally defeated. A lot of them hurt themselves and have to quit. Others lose their items or burn down their shelter. Jordan is the only contestant to actually thrive. It took 6 seasons before anyone took down big game - with a recurve bow no less. I'm very impressed.
Do you remeber season three on Patagonia? That one guy starved himself by hoarding all his fish and then when he finally decided to go out to try and kill a boar he couldn't even flex his bow anymore because he was so weak? I guess somewhere along the line people decided the right strategy would be to sit around and make it a starvation contest. Jordan proved them all wrong.
If a network doesn’t sign Jordan into a show they totally don’t know what they’re missing. Not only does he have a lot of experience but he’s eloquent, intelligent, and good natured. A very pleasant person to listen to with good vibes.
The conversation and relaxedness between these two sharing their knowledge of outdoors and nature brought so much joy to my mind. I smiled and listened as if I was in the room with them. And the fact that Jordan invited and engaged with Young Jamie by simply looking his way equally to Joe is very respectful and awesome!.

@Robert Davis I was cracking up/super impressed, even when the wolverine kept stealing his food, he never cussed or raised his voice. He was so calm about it. Seems like a really cool dude. I hope they do an all stars season after a while and he gets to compete again.
@@JoeGentile1969 first of all, he doesn't drink daily, smoking marijuana is significantly less dangerous than smoking tobacco and the dude works out hard most days of the week since he was in his teens, he's healthier than you'll ever be, oh, and you don't inhale cigar smoke "you goof", so it doesn't go into your lungs. He gets tested for covid (again, not daily, don't know why you keep saying that) out of precaution and respect to his guests, and his responsibility as a professional. Lets talk about you for a second, why are you on here on his youtube channel, commenting on his videos, if you think "he's a pothead who has good genetics and that's why he's not fat"? I don't even bother listening if it's a comedian, they are consistently the most boring, uninteresting and repetitive guest. I understand why he has them on, l just wish he wouldn't.
One of my fav Rogan podcasts. Finished watching Alone Season 6.. Made me cry. I've never witnessed such real human emotions recorded on camera. Truly a majestic experience watching that. ❤️

I was watching Alone with my gf, and we were rooting for him to win. You gotta watch that season and watch him and how creative and capable he is in the wilderness, especially in the austere environment of the Arctic in the fall/early winter.
I just finished it! It was so beautiful to see and his reaction was so cute. “Like wow really cool?”I wish there were second and third place prizes. Those people put in their all.
im fairly sure he earned some sort of pay raise when he pulled up that list of 10 items up in under 5 seconds. that was damn impressive even to me as a person who has been watching the pod for years. jamie was on his game this pod.
honestly its mostly just been his friends on haha. there have been a few fillers, but i dont feel its been any worse than usual. i dont consider the episodes with his best friends to be fillers, theyre my favorite honestly. ive loved the last month TBH.
Well I imagine a lot of it is him calling friends in because people cancel last minute due to the virus. idk if that's true, but it would explain why there have been so many.
@@lamnuck honestly, i think Joe could mine the faculties at UCLA, USC, Cal Tech, and UC-SD and have tons of interesting topics discussed. These people are professional communicators and experts in their fields. And the range is enormous. Joe loves Dan Carlin (like so many do), why not get a Classical or Medieval historian?

Almost all the alone contestants are very down to earth and cool like jordan. Must be the simple living off the land life. that's one of the reasons i love the show. Hard to root against anyone.

A few minutes in and I can tell how this guy made it through that show just from his spirit. He can genuinely laugh about nearly drowning himself in the rain.
Highly unlikely anyone of importance reads this, but just in case... right now in browning montana there are free roaming buffalo that are growing yearly. Currently my buddy Brandon Fish is researching the effects of buffalo on the habitat Joe and Jordan it's actually happening I just wanted y'all to know.
Bison are a huge part of reviving nature, they make huge holes in the ground called wallers that can reach the water table and their hooves cut into the ground make pockets for seeds and water to get trapped in the surface areas that they walk unlike cows that stomp everything flat. I did a 1million acre expansion project for the World Wildlife Fund and NASA in North Central Montana about 10 years ago and learned alot about those great creatures!
The Alex Jones interviews are another level. I have people I want to introduce to those works of art but have to get them further into the beauty of JRE and long form interviews first.

I knew he looked familiar! I only saw the last episode when his wife came to surprise him at his camp. I only saw a half of one episode and I was happy this guy won...he just seems like a good guy and someone you’d want to win lol
That would be so F**king EPIC. But We all Know who would win. Jordan was thriving out there, he won in November and he was planning on staying out there until Jan 20th, which is usually the coldest part of the year in North America.
I'd love that too, but i don't think all ten winners would do it all again. I also don't think the showrunners want it to last longer than 100 days. This new season 7 has a 100 day time limmit for the winner(s) to fulfill. Jordan proved that over there you can go way beyond 100 days. But the showrunners also have to deal with permits, safety and costs. I imagine taking it beyond 100 days is very hard to do if not impossible.

He was by far the most skilled and entertaining contestant. Everyone else just fasted until they couldn't take it anymore. I hope they get more skilled people on the show.
A few of them got quite a few rabbits, but the moose, wolverine, and fish really set Jordan up to win. I dont think eating rabbits is sustainable just like we saw the moose not sustaining Jordan. His days were numbered too. His ability to get big game early is what really seperated him.
I feel like if you have too many overly skilled people, the shows production would go too long and cost too much. Hypothetically they could start filming and not be done filming for like a year or more if that was the case. I agree I would love to see them do it though. Maybe if they do enough seasons, they can bring all the winners together and do a showdown with all the winners. Winner takes home 1 Million.
@@JG-yk6ny Indeed, they showed him catching and losing a fish, then only one or two more. I had the feeling he was really starting to struggle at that point. Very interesting to hear it was far from that. They showed his first few rabbits and then nothing more. I guess if they had really shown everything he was doing it might have seriously taken away from everyone else. It just wasn't close.

This dude is almost too humble, not only did no one in his season kill a moose, no one in the previous 5 seasons before him managed to kill any big game. He was an absolute beast, so much better than anyone else who has ever done it, and they ALL consider themselves wilderness survival experts.
Not to take anything away from this absolute beast of a man, he is unfucking believable, but luck is a huge factor. Certain seasons they are not allowed to kill big game.

Started watching the show after listening to this podcast and feel so sorry for the one guy who is like I'm gonna game this to win, I've watched every episode and have not chosen a bow because I think it's a waste, no one catches big game , then Jordan basically catches the moose in the same episode ,

@Mayan Ruins I agree. It's weird. It's like they all took the same little survivalist classes and don't actually know anything about the outdoors. You never see them actually putting in the work to learn the land and habits of the local fauna, they just kind of wander outside like "well.. I don't see any deer around, guess I'll have to eat some tree bark", lol. Like they're expecting the animals to come to them. They kill birds and trap rabbits a bit, catch fish, but yeah never big game except for Jordan, and it's because they don't understand the dedication to a specific animal it takes to get the better of it.

I've seen every season of History's Alone. Most of the time contestants are suffering and emotionally defeated. A lot of them hurt themselves and have to quit. Others lose their items or burn down their shelter. Jordan is the only contestant to actually thrive. It took 6 seasons before anyone took down big game - with a recurve bow no less. I'm very impressed.
Been watching the show closely. He is amazing on it. Would be interesting to see him on Naked and Afraid.
Do you remeber season three on Patagonia? That one guy starved himself by hoarding all his fish and then when he finally decided to go out to try and kill a boar he couldn't even flex his bow anymore because he was so weak? I guess somewhere along the line people decided the right strategy would be to sit around and make it a starvation contest. Jordan proved them all wrong.

I was watching Alone with my gf, and we were rooting for him to win. You gotta watch that season and watch him and how creative and capable he is in the wilderness, especially in the austere environment of the Arctic in the fall/early winter.
My 11yr olds newest role model after watching Alone in the Artic. That moment his wife shows up was so amazing!

Bison are a huge part of reviving nature, they make huge holes in the ground called wallers that can reach the water table and their hooves cut into the ground make pockets for seeds and water to get trapped in the surface areas that they walk unlike cows that stomp everything flat. I did a 1million acre expansion project for the World Wildlife Fund and NASA in North Central Montana about 10 years ago and learned alot about those great creatures!

I'd love that too, but i don't think all ten winners would do it all again. I also don't think the showrunners want it to last longer than 100 days. This new season 7 has a 100 day time limmit for the winner(s) to fulfill. Jordan proved that over there you can go way beyond 100 days. But the showrunners also have to deal with permits, safety and costs. I imagine taking it beyond 100 days is very hard to do if not impossible.

He was by far the most skilled and entertaining contestant. Everyone else just fasted until they couldn't take it anymore. I hope they get more skilled people on the show.
A few of them got quite a few rabbits, but the moose, wolverine, and fish really set Jordan up to win. I dont think eating rabbits is sustainable just like we saw the moose not sustaining Jordan. His days were numbered too. His ability to get big game early is what really seperated him.

I feel like if you have too many overly skilled people, the shows production would go too long and cost too much. Hypothetically they could start filming and not be done filming for like a year or more if that was the case. I agree I would love to see them do it though. Maybe if they do enough seasons, they can bring all the winners together and do a showdown with all the winners. Winner takes home 1 Million.
@@JG-yk6ny Indeed, they showed him catching and losing a fish, then only one or two more. I had the feeling he was really starting to struggle at that point. Very interesting to hear it was far from that. They showed his first few rabbits and then nothing more. I guess if they had really shown everything he was doing it might have seriously taken away from everyone else. It just wasn't close.
