Seeing two grown men arguing about something they are passionate about and still friends wow that's refreshing to see. So people can disagree and still listen to each outher wow. The world needs more of this. Thanks for another great show guys
Sal’s description of the child’s circumstances being a factor in deciding whether that child should go to boarding school is EXACTLY mine. I was a teen mom and a single struggling mom from a rough neighborhood/town. My son was intellectually gifted and won scholarships to some prestigious boarding schools. He wanted to go…having he best intentions to get out of our situation. The options weren’t great for keeping him home so I sent him off. While he did do well and is now an adult and doing quite well for himself…even to the point of making plans to help his mom and grandma finally buy a house….I OFTEN wonder if it was the right decision. The trade-offs were definitely some social/emotional impacts. I lean towards feeling like I should have kept him with me but I wonder how different things would have turned out. Now with my teen daughters, there is no way I’d send them off to boarding school….of course they’re different people and my circumstances are a little better.
Guys, really enjoy the show. As a dad, the best moments of my life were watching my son grow up and the teachings - yes I am serious - that I gave to him. And I always said, I was not a fun guy to talk to because I had a job to do. It was my job to teach him what life was really all about. Mom was the fun one and frankly the smart one academically. Another thing was that I always prepped him that when he turned 18, I would have no say in his choices, but I hoped he would always see me as council and come to me for advice. He is almost 23 now and we still have those deep discussions both understanding that he is in charge of his fate and will always make the final call. I couldn't have done any of this if my son was not with me. Keep up the great show guys! Best, Bill
I swear binge watching your videos is the best thing that’s ever happen to me. I’ve learned more from your videos than I ever have in the last 5 years, when I first got into fitness. Thanks guys! Y’all are very much appreciated!🙏🏼

A couple months ago I started lifting again and changing my diet after a breakup and really started focusing on me. The advice this channel has given me has really helped turn my life around and become more disciplined, I couldn't be more grateful. I was 257 and in 3 month I'm now down to 218. I've been holding off on commenting for a giveaway because I wanted to reach the end of my current program, now that I have I hope I can get a copy of MAPS aesthetic. Regardless, thanks for all you guys do, has really helped a lot on my personal journey.
I have lost 12 lbs in two months since watching this channel. Thank you guys for helping me with my weight loss journey. I’ve learned so much about strength training.
The conversation between you guys about sending your kids off to school is great. I don’t normally say this, but I’m with Sal on this one. The family is the core unit of society and sending your kids away is you not having influence over them any longer. If you’re around, you can pick up on body language, what is happening in their lives, etc., without mowing a helicopter parent. You have the ability to then influence through love when they are there. It’s like the wisdom from the Amish, they don’t call another person to see how they are doing. That person could lie and tell them everything is fine when visiting them could show you that their barn is in need of repair and they can’t get to it right now. There’s something important about being present with your kids that you can’t get from a distance.
I took a spin class this morning and the instructor said “we have to earn our chocolate cake”! 😳 Oh my goodness, she needs some Mind Pump education 😂 It’s sad so many still have this viewpoint....we just have to share the knowledge. Keep bringing it boys! 💕
Guys, just wanna thank you. You changed my life. I've been training in gym since 15y old, now im 27. Last 2 years i've been working out on the bars, calistenics workout. I plan to go back to gym to implement completely your what i learned, and most of all, to enjoy working out with proper movement. You changed my view for training, you break most of bro science and misconceptions, after all knowledge you threw at me i saw that most of population not just not workout and eat properly, but view training and activity as some kind of the "ah, who will do this today, i will do it tomorow, im tired now" view. This is first and i can say the best overall fitness and health educational content. I learned how to think about training and health overall, how to eat, how to breathe, how to use my body, how to strech, how to behave when something is not ok, how to read my body (thank you Sal). Last 3 months i listen to you every morning, not one missed, your connection between eachother is fabulous, love your humor. God bless you, grow as you grow, and dont give up, you are good guys. 💪🏻👍👋

I’m 100% with Sal on the school conversation. 12-15yrs old are very crucial yrs to be around as parents, things can shift pretty rapidly. Being in the Oil & Gas business around the world I have plenty of friends that have sent their kids to great border schools and came with lots of crazy stories and no matter how safe they say it is, at lot of shit happens there that you won’t even imagine. Plus, 12-15 yrs old they don’t know what they want yet. The character of your kid will matter a lot in this kind of situation as well. So, Keep them close to you guys and educate them to be ready to leave the nest. Btw, Great show as usual.
Corey slezenger was on the mark bell podcast recently. Was a really great episode. He definitely has a wealth of knowledge. I'd love to see him on this show again
Just started listening to your podcast two weeks ago, I love your guys Philosophy about the gym and health and general. I just turned 18 and wanted to continue my fitness journey in a healthy Direction. You guys the best!
Maps Aesthetic Giveaway?? I like chances to win free stuff. Seriously, you guys are sweet. First podcast I’ve actually be able to listen to consistently and enjoy. My brother put me on to you guys about a year ago, but been listening a decent amount in the last 6 months. Whether it’s driving, lifting, chores, or homework I know I can find an episode that’ll interest me. The live Q&A always teaches me and interests me. Even if someone else’s situation is different to mine, it’s intriguing to listen to your advice. I also hit a new Deadlift PR today too, what timing 😂
Adam, I watched Texas Chainsaw massacre 2003 version in my early 20s and that was the last scary movie I've watched too! Can't do it. The funny thing is I stayed up all night after watching the movie and went to the gym in the morning to workout and get my mind off of it. They were doing construction at the gym and chainsaws we're going off. I was out quick lol.
Animal protein with all the essential amino acids, and all the micronutrients you need to recover and build muscle 💪. Also, plant protein gets overstated because digestibility is less vs animal protein, AND absorption is less vs animal protein. Animal foods score high in the Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS) and the new methodology Digestible Indispensible Amino Acid Score (DIAAS)
I been vegan sense February and vegetarian for 10 years and I bet I’m stronger and in better shape then you.. on average vegans live at least 7 years longer
I like watching the people trying to tag each other, it's awesome the see them parkour around each other. The goal is to tag the other person to keep them from receiving a point. The way you score points is the successfully evade and the time run out.
Idk if there is a video about this or not, but I was talking to my aunt the other day about exercise and she told me it's best to workout fasted in the morning or to only eat a little bit of carbs before working out because if you eat before working out you will only burn off the carbs instead of body fat. I'm new to working out and I know I will gain muscle and lose fat, but I want to know what I should be eating before and after working out so I can maximize the fat loss
Keep it simple. You're over thinking it. I don't eat any differently just because I'm going to workout. Only thing is, id like to give it about an hour and a half after eating to lift so my system can flush..
@@Leo31291 Thank you! I wouldn't have put any thought into it until she told me not to because I won't burn fat and I was like well I don't want to do that 😂
Sal is the only parent here with older teen kids, and also seeing it from a co-parenting situation point of view. He sees the influence from one household to another. I’d lean with him on not sending his high school age kids away for specialization.
When you remove carbs, especially processed carbs, getting in protein is too easy Filling up on potatoes, rice, etc isn’t optimal in my opinion I normally eat 150g - 175g daily as a 5’11” woman who lifts heavy 💪🏽
To add in with the higher car payment chat…then on top of that you add on insurance, registration (in California is outrageous), fuel, and maintenance. Yea, well over $1000 a month just to have one car 🤪 it’s crazy!
You absolutely should do something about Spanish subtitles , I've thought about that for a long time. Sometimes I want to share great stuff to family or friends and a lot of them miss so much information just because they don't know english.
Recently been binge watching your guys' show and I'm sure you've done videos and answered questions about reverse dieting and perhaps preparing for pregnancy - is there a way to get on the show to ask some specific questions? Thanks again for always bringing knowledge and joy into the world with your podcast!
I have been vegetarian and animal based. I can say that I definitely struggled with my weight while being a vegetarian, but I had tons of energy , but I struggled maintaining 185 at 6Ft. On animal protein muscle growth wasn't an issue. Whatt are you guys thoughts on sex's effect on exercise? I know of a few fighters who abstain for a while during camp. Is it that detrimental to atheletic performance?
I was fully plant based for two years. I felt great and had energy too. But I sort of shrunk up and i was already a very small woman. Even eating fairly high calories and protein but eating became a full time job. I don’t have that issue when eating animal protein. But I think you can definitely reach goals on either diet one just takes more effort.
@@king-nick2023 bro I will admit I didnt know at first, but I did figure it out. However, it reuqired alot of food consumption. I have no problem with vegetariansim, veganism, or whatever diet you choose. I also know some jack vegetarians. I am speaking for me that I found it easier gaining size as a consumer of animal products versus plant based. I hope you continue to excel on your plant based journey brother.
@@king-nick2023 additionally part of that struggle was financial, and the amount of prep time needed. Seeking to eat good clean veggie protien options for me required work. I noticed alot of times that to eat vegetarian and gain size required more food than my animal based diet. Also, vegan meat prodcuts in my opinion aremt the healthiest of options. Now I use it maybe 2 weeks a quarter or if I want to reset things internally. However, if I am eating clean I dont need to use the 2 week vegetarian option.
Just getting back into lifting regularly and love this podcast for it's clear delivery of practical information. I'm a school teacher and using the summer to get back into lifting/regular exercise. Currently using a modified 5x5 workout 2-3 days a week, and walking to burn fat on the days between lifting. Am I sending my body mixed signals by alternating days of lifting/walking? I keep hearing the terms anabolic triggering workouts (ATW) in your MAPS programs that seem to be performed on the days I'm walking. Would those ATWs be better for me than walking if my goal was (1) to build muscle & lose fat? (2) to retain muscle & lose fat? Thanks in advance!!
I went to a college that had a bunch of students that went to boarding engineering college. They were the most prepared and many double majored in engineering and medicine in 4 years. The recent episode if you are afraid for your kids then they will become afraid.
This was such a great show, so much to take in. I would like to ask questions about transitioning from bikini competitor to just healthy lifestyle where i still build but not crazy about tracking everything... im gonna be 44 and im freaked out about gaining fat again... it takes so much not to when pre-meno, hormone changes happen and not to mention mindset
No quantitative easing is a fancy phrase for legalized counterfeiting, and because of the Federal Reserve Act they can only put that printed currency into the markets for the banks to buy up and distribute. Earlier you asked where were all the people in 2008 and 2009 and I'm guessing you've never heard of Mike Maloney? You guys are on the same page other than calling fiat currency money. A lot of presidents like Thomas Jefferson fought against the establishment of Central Banking because they knew what it did to England and Europe which is why we were set up as a free market system with checks and balances
The model in aesthetic (see her barbell shoulder press, barbell push press...) is very crooked, one side way higher. My bf makes fun of my bench press saying one of my arms is longer than the other. I have the exact same issue. Is it normal? Our anatomy? Is it an imbalance? Why do we do that? I've seen tiktok videos where ppl do crooked chin ups or push ups. How do we know what it is? Is this what you're talking about and suggesting unilateral work? Help!... I think.
I'll say this and most of u educated people would agree. There is not a one size fit all when it comes to dieting, health and nutrition. There are facts that support both sides, but what I have found to be helpful to me and others that I know is a thing called "Gene Food Consistency" basically stating that where people are from genetically, they have an infinity to that which grows in the confines of that environment. For example, I trace my roots back to the Caribbeans, the tropics. My body responds better to a lot of vegetables and seafood, not so well to red meat, do I eat red meat from time to time, yes but occasionally, that's coming from me knowing thy self and understanding my body and knowing it's just not one size fit all...Great dialogue by the way
Seems like the problem with those different coaches at that private school for athletes would need to be sure and have their egos in check….I assume there’s a few that might be like well, this is my way and that’s how we’re doing it”….seems like everyone would need to be literally on the same page (IMO). Great content as always.
You guys should definitely subtitle/dub your content into different languages. So many TH-camrs do it and it’s basically free money, you’ve already made the content, now it can reach a larger audience. There are services you can pay for that you do all the subbing and dubbing for you, all you need to do is make the channel Mind Pump Español, it’ll be huge
Great show guys… I was wondering, I’m in phase 4 of Maps Symmetry and I wanna gain at least 5 lbs of muscle before October, so my question is which maps program do you recommend I should buy for that goal?
My kids play ice hockey, there are many kids who get recruited to move to other states for high school, I'm am 100% NO!!, unless I move with them. I need to protect my babies! I trust no one!
Important reminder: a top tier physique is an indicator of good health, but is not a diagnosis of good health. Getting regular physicals, check-ups, blood work done to make sure that the less visible parts of your body are functioning correctly should be high on everyone’s priority list. Get healthy to get fit.
@@margaretrangel7223 actually it can be pretty cheap if you look for deals and mix in ground beef often! We eat a lot of steak, eggs, ribs, and ground beef. Also whole eggs and bone broth. Our a family of 4 food bill actually went down a couple hundred dollars a month due to not having so much variety to shop for. We have an empty pantry but did buy two extra freezers! The food is so nutrient dense you actually don't have to each as much volume and you never snack. It's so easy to cook we're all on different eating schedules and the kids can make their own food. We just don't really think of breakfast lunch and dinner anymore. I'm the only one in the house that eats more then twice a day cause I'm bulking! 🤣

@@margaretrangel7223 I've been doing it for 2 years and it's been wonderful. I'm almost 50 and I feel better then I did all thru my 30s and 40s. It was nice to lose 120lbs and I was never hungry. Being in a bulk can sometimes be tough to get that much food in so I have to start earlier in the day then when I'm not. I was eating around 2pm and like 8. Now I start eating at 9am. Don't chase fat just let it come with the protien and you tend to lean out even in a bulk as long as your training hard! Good luck!

@@margaretrangel7223 I agree with you wholeheartedly.
I been plant based 10 years.. if you guys are struggling it’s because you have no idea what you are doing
These dudes are awesome 👌
No quantitative easing is a fancy phrase for legalized counterfeiting, and because of the Federal Reserve Act they can only put that printed currency into the markets for the banks to buy up and distribute. Earlier you asked where were all the people in 2008 and 2009 and I'm guessing you've never heard of Mike Maloney? You guys are on the same page other than calling fiat currency money. A lot of presidents like Thomas Jefferson fought against the establishment of Central Banking because they knew what it did to England and Europe which is why we were set up as a free market system with checks and balances
Sal's moustache is more developed than my forearms 😀
The way Adam get mad because Sal says no boarding school 😂. I’m with Sal!
That stash Sal 😂 you now have 2 sets of eyebrows 😆
where do you find good facebook forums just made one to see what its about
The model in aesthetic (see her barbell shoulder press, barbell push press...) is very crooked, one side way higher. Help!... I think.
I use both.
My body responds better to a lot of vegetables and seafood, not so well to red meat, do I eat red meat from time to time, yes but occasionally, that's coming from me knowing thy self and understanding my body and knowing it's just not one size fit all...Great dialogue by the way
I’m with Sal. I’m not sending my kid off law at from us. Private school definitely, but it’s local.
Please make a bundle with Prime, Prime Pro, and Performance
Many cars rn aren't losing their values due to supply, Subaru's, Teslas
Journey man, journey man!!!
Sal is rocking the mustache
Recent data also seem to show that cholesterol intake increases muscle protein synthesis and stimulates muscle growth.
Eat the egg yolks!
My kids play ice hockey, there are many kids who get recruited to move to other states for high school, I'm am 100% NO!!, unless I move with them. I need to protect my babies! I trust no one!
@doug... patches and dramamine we all know. The hidden secret is a drink laced with ginger (ginger ale least) and pure ginger candy. Try it next time.
Definitely a Luigi!
Important reminder: a top tier physique is an indicator of good health, but is not a diagnosis of good health. Getting regular physicals, check-ups, blood work done to make sure that the less visible parts of your body are functioning correctly should be high on everyone’s priority list. Get healthy to get fit.
Carnivore diet for the win once again!
Is the it an expensive diet to follow? Do you eat fruits or vegetables?
@@margaretrangel7223 no vegetables but we do eat some fruit! I let the kids have more fruit as they are still young and healthy. I had horrible autoimmune and the fiber just killed me.
@@jaydajediful Very interesting! We are a family of 5 and my kids are pretty heavy meat eaters naturally. I’m trying to build some muscle and am in my first bulk 😂 so I’ll definitely look more into this!
Good luck!
MIND PUMPPPPP! ILL DIE FOR SOME MIND PUMP EVERYDAY 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Sal's moustache is parting like the red sea
Maybe but plants got other nutriments than protein, hence overall more "complete" food ...IMO. I love meat btw...
5ft 7 and 190 I'd say hes hitting his macros holy shit
No sound again
I would only allow my child to go to go a school out of state as a minor if it was the most amazing opportunity that was guaranteed to get them a desirable career. Otherwise, I would want them home so I could help different between good and bad information and ideologies
Commenting for the algorithm
Is Justin’s shirt suggesting that Pepsi is about as good as urine?
Pepsi has horse urine in it. Well, phosphoric acid is the main ingredient which is pretty much horse piss. Read into it, wild stuff. Same with coke
57:40 She has no man in the picture, that’s her problem. 🤫
Watch the show Alone….you’ll find out in short order why animal protein is so important to humans. In terms of survival, vegan/vegetarian diets are a ridiculous luxury
He said AA 😂😂
@24:40 lmao
I say absolutely not I needed to see my kids everyday
Well in the future we will either eat plant protein or bugs 👀 thanks Bill Gates, thanks davos
