I started taking ashwagandha supplements about one year ago, and I've noticed some extremely positive changes in how I handle stress and anxiety. Moreover, I have become physically active and usually go for 1-hour morning walk, avoid junk food, and spend more time with family and friends.

@@diozagonzaga766 try it in the morning 500mg if you feel energetic that time you can take it every morning. But if you feel sleepy then you should take it after meal at evening. Every Individual has their own different reaction of ashwaghanda, so adjust it with your own situation. Note that you must Not exceed than 1 gram a day if you have raw powder form.
I tried Ashwagandha many times over the years; every time I got really nervous & just scared of the world in general after a few days of consumption; anxiety & fear so bad I just wouldn't be able to do anything... quite crazy. Anyways a few weeks back I finally tried the KSM-66 version of Ashwagandha extract (I've never tried this one in the past as it's usually the most expensive one, but also regarded as the gold standard for Ashwagandha extract); my experience is completely different, it's like I'm taking a completely different supplement. Basically the KSM-66 extract gives me the benefits that Ash is supposed to give, while any other form of extract (or ground up root powder) made me nervous, anxious & just not great in general. So I'd personally recommend to anyone to try the KSM-66 version of any quality brand :3
Maybe try starting out with small doses if you are senstive to the effects. I am up to a full teaspoon 1-2 times per day now and no problems now that I've adjusted. Can't live without it and other herbs.
Ksm form is the best, been taking for years at this stage and don't know does anything but benefits seem good to keep taken, swim fit resting heart rate around 50
This herb also helped me with my extremeeeeee menstrual pains ( fainting, vomiting diarrhea, bloating.. you name it). I believe it helped to balance my hormones and now my menstrual pains are wayyy more manageable. So happy I found ashwagandha.
That is very helpful info. I recently got off birth control pills after a decade of using them to control the imbalance. I use a combination of cohosh, shepherd's purse, black haw and yarrow tinctures to control it now. I will add ashwaganda and see how it works.
Ive also heard that Ashwaghanda is a good natural glutamine inhibitor...meaning that if anybody is using prolonged fasting to starve cancer, Ashwaghanda can be used to stop glutamine dependant tumours from receiving their fuel.
@@donnagarner6007 Hi, I don't know much about glutamine and what it does, but I've learned from Dr Berg and Dr Thomas Seyfried that EVERY cancerous tumour exists on either glucose or glutamine...and potentially both...so the reason I brought it up is that there has been a lot of success from cancer sufferers who use prolonged and intermittent fasting to inhibit glucose, whilst taking a glutamine inhibitor...such as green tea and ashwaghanda, thus covering ALL bases and starving their cancer.

Ashwagandha saved me. I was angry with everyone, paranoid and anxious. My job was starting to suffer. I started taking this and within a week felt like me again. I stop and start when needed, so I don’t take it everyday. It may not work for everyone but it was a miracle for me 😊

I have BPD and took an ashwagandha capsule. Usually, I have an underlying pressuring feeling on my chest. When I tell you it went away and now all I’m left with is an “open” feeling with no anxiety, I’m not kidding. I feel great. Usually I am very skeptical with “supplements” but wow, this actually works just as good, if not better, than an anti-anxiety pill.

@@Bengalmomz Congratulations! Traditionally, take 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of ashwagandha powder daily, split between morning and evening doses, mixed with warm milk or water. You may add honey or ghee. Consult an Ayurvedic doctor if you have thyroid, autoimmune, or chronic health conditions.

I have genuinely suffered from severe anxiety since 17 (I'm now 24), and I took this starting last week. I cannot believe how quickly it worked, and how my hands stopped shaking, my headaches are gone etc. I have many stressful situations going on (hurtful breakup, friends going through troubles, stress from studying for masters degree etc.) and OMG I'm okay!!!! I'm not emotional at all I'm just rolling through it. If I had knew this sooner I would of taken in, why did I go through all those years of extreme anxiety (even pulling my own hair out and shaking 2 days prior to taking it). But I will say it caused nausea and constipation for me when I took 600mg. I lowered to 300mg every 3 days and it improved.

I am from India and an IBS patient for six years. I have this herb in my backyard. Every winter I take this herb and it does wonders to my body. My doctor advised me not to take it in summers. Though It's quite safe to take ashwagandha for almost everyone. According to 'ayurveda' (Indian ancient medical science) ashwagandha works better with butter (ghee) made from cow's milk. It sometimes may cause constipation if you don't have enough fat in your diet.
@@suchimodi4739 It makes a lot of difference both directly and indirectly. 1. It's a natural anti - inflammatary. So it directly reduces my inflammation. 2. I feel a lot of energy while working out which relieves stress. 3. I used to have some problems with my sleep, was almost an insomniac. It really helps me to have a good sleep and this is the main reason I started taking this herb.
@@fogaat4004 this is great. I was aware of some of its benefits but dint know it can help that way too. Actually u r so right, IBS causes the worst type of anxiety and fatigue, so Ashwagandha can help. Do u take this with milk or some other form of fat ?
Milk aggravates my symptoms. So I avoid milk. My fat rich diet mainly consists of ghee or butter (extracted from cow's milk only). Beside this, whole eggs, wallnuts, almonds , fish oil supplements. If milk doesn't bother you, you can take ashwagandha with milk. My personal experience says that an IBS patient should avoid milk but this is also true that every body is different from other.

L-Carnitine in the Morning Stack It With 6g Lecuine and Creatine (3g-5g, depend on your body weight) (lucine 6g, If you aren't on protein diet but if you ARE on protein diet and eating 1.5g per your body weight you don't need to take lecuine 6g), Coq10 Best to take it with high fat meal although in the evening meal (night time) is better due to body ability to absord it better whilst your are sleep. I don't take D-Ribose as Ribose is a constituent of our muscles and therefore occurs throughout our body. Creatine is better choice over as it's formed from three amino acids: arginine, glycine and methionine. Creatine helps maintain ATP. ATP is a source of energy that your cells use when you exercise. So, creatine helps maintain a continuous energy supply to your muscles during intense lifting or exercise. In addition to providing more energy and helping to increase muscle growth, creatine helps: Speed up muscle recovery too. My understanding is that cortisol suppresses testosterone production, and ashaganda lower cortisol, so the result is higher testosterone. But I never read anywhere that it augment your testo higher than your normal base.
Production note - I feel the library background is the better one over the hallway. In the hallway, you are “right there” filling up the whole screen & i am looking up your nose. This is a more balanced background and it’s not as “in your face” so it’s easier to watch. Additionally the books give a “I’ve studied this” vibe which is good for the info you are delivering - IMO 🙏🏻

In cases of PCOS or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, the individual has an excess of androgens (testosterone) so Ashwagandha is contraindicated. If you experience acne along the chin or weight gain in your mid section and hips, you may already have elevated testosterone and taking Ashwagandha could worsen the problem. Finally, those with auto-immune conditions may want to rethink this one. As an adaptogen, it upregulates the immune system and helps the body respond to stress. But people with conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and type 1 diabetes may experience harmful effects when their system is pushed into overdrive. The same goes for those with hyperthyroid such as in Grave’s disease. Ashwagandha will stimulate the thyroid and worsen an overactive thyroid.

@@Badgalkitty101Hi there, do you know if it helps with sleep?
+ one to that!😮 Got panik anxiety and really worse pms. Mayby I try ksm66. Thank you!
Thats what happens when you overdose Ash.

I take spearmint and turmeric for period too
That is very helpful info. I recently got off birth control pills after a decade of using them to control the imbalance. I use a combination of cohosh, shepherd's purse, black haw and yarrow tinctures to control it now. I will add ashwaganda and see how it works.
I had all those debilitating symptoms. I wish I had heard of Ashwagandha in those years.
Ok! Dr Berg’s videos /articles on menstruations may be of interest.
Ive also heard that Ashwaghanda is a good natural glutamine inhibitor...meaning that if anybody is using prolonged fasting to starve cancer, Ashwaghanda can be used to stop glutamine dependant tumours from receiving their fuel.
And if you're TAKING glutamine for your gut health? Would that be a waste?
@@donnagarner6007 Hi, I don't know much about glutamine and what it does, but I've learned from Dr Berg and Dr Thomas Seyfried that EVERY cancerous tumour exists on either glucose or glutamine...and potentially both...so the reason I brought it up is that there has been a lot of success from cancer sufferers who use prolonged and intermittent fasting to inhibit glucose, whilst taking a glutamine inhibitor...such as green tea and ashwaghanda, thus covering ALL bases and starving their cancer.
Dang what I’m taking creatine with glutamine

Ashwagandha saved me. I was angry with everyone, paranoid and anxious. My job was starting to suffer. I started taking this and within a week felt like me again. I stop and start when needed, so I don’t take it everyday. It may not work for everyone but it was a miracle for me 😊
How much did you take and how? I've been using a magnesium and ashwagandha gummy at night and I've had some success but after buying a bag of ashwagandha so I can add more than just the small gummy at night I'm finding I can't get any advice on how much to use.

Been taking ssri meds for 6 months now, im here cuz I want to substitute with ashwagandha
@Farhiya-b8f I want to drop the meds too and try this and I will. I have bpd too.

You can also make tincture using a raw vinigar with the herb of your choice instead of alcohol..it seems to work quite well..and still quite potent.
Day 3 of Dr Berg’s Ashwaganda - Feel like flying away from stress and anxiety, from Uk…
How long did it take to work

I am from India and an IBS patient for six years. I have this herb in my backyard. Every winter I take this herb and it does wonders to my body. My doctor advised me not to take it in summers. Though It's quite safe to take ashwagandha for almost everyone. According to 'ayurveda' (Indian ancient medical science) ashwagandha works better with butter (ghee) made from cow's milk. It sometimes may cause constipation if you don't have enough fat in your diet.
Does it make any difference in ur IBS symptoms ??
@@suchimodi4739 It makes a lot of difference both directly and indirectly.
1. It's a natural anti - inflammatary.
So it directly reduces my inflammation.
2. I feel a lot of energy while working out which relieves stress.
3. I used to have some problems with my sleep, was almost an insomniac. It really helps me to have a good sleep and this is the main reason I started taking this herb.

D-ribose, coq10, carnitine etc
I know q10, but never heard of the other ones...wait...I don't even want to know, too many things already 🙂
@@amarnathjamalpur2518you think because you know it, everybody else also knows it. Don't be so sure. Its availability does not make it wide spread in the Western world.
Ashwaghanda chills me out!!
Brilliant video, never heard of this before but now looking at it on Amazon UK but so many to choose from
😂😅
Organic ashwagandha with black pepper from superself. Ive used a few and this one has to be the most effective for me. I’m from the Uk and bought it from amazon
I get it from just vitamins in the UK, comes in compostable packet.
Try Himalaya
it seems you recommend 300mg in the video but the bottle of your ashwagandha indicates significantly more. What is the right dose of your supplement please. Thanks for all you do.
Thank you Dr. Berg👑🏆
You're very welcome!
