I never heard anyone say "ring stick" lol now I will forever remember this video. I always called them a mandrel but this "ring stick" looks a lot like a maglight flashlight. I'm curious about it too because flashlights make great round forms. I use some of the following things for this purpose: nail polish bottle, a metal cigar keeper tube, a marble kitchen rolling pin/grinding rod, a piece of driftwood. The one in the video, I'm inspired by because if it is/isn't a steel or titanium flashlight, either way I have one that doesn't work. I could easily store some craft supplies where the batteries go and protect them from elemental oxidation.
