Wow! That was a lot of driving in ten days! I live in the South Island so know the distances. Mount Cook to Haast in one day? I hope you shared the driving. Otherwise a great video and so happy you enjoyed your holiday.
Funnily enough I was just talking to a Brit today, him and his wife were raving about Queenstown, having grown up with it practically in my back yard, I see it as a hideous tourist trap that I always give a wide berth to. I worked in a Cromwell orchard in my younger days when I lived there, nothing better than picking fruit while stuffing your face on a hot sunny day, incredible summers in that part of Otago, never rains and blue sky most of the year, bloody freezing in winter though. You're quite right about the time it takes to take in the sights of NZ, so many tourists underestimate the size and think they can see the entire country in under a month!
It hurts me when I see people fly to NZ with huge itineraries and 7 days to do it 😳 and sometimes places are tourist traps for good reason - they’re good for tourists! I probably wouldn’t love living there but visiting for a little bit is fun.
I live in CHCH, and i absolutely love Queenstown. I have been many times, and its one of the few places i would move to. But i am an adrenalin junkie, so thats probably why i like it :D
WOW ❤!! You're footage is absolutely stunning, what an incredible insight to NZ 🌿 You actually made me "homesick" haha after living away in Australia for the past 23 yrs 😂... Thank you for sharing your trip & showcasing this/our little hidden gem 💎 of a magical place! Hope adjusting to life again in another part of the world is going great for you all. Keep up the great work! 🙏 xx
Hi becca❤😊 love ur vlogs u seem to radiate happiness and always make me smile😊thankyou for sharing our beautiful country ..sending love n blessings ❤🙏🇳🇿
Your ability to tell a story and keep the viewer engaged is exceptional. Thoroughly enjoyed this video, and yup, lm that crazy person that would do all the hikes!! Thanks so much for sharing this itinerary idea with us 👍
We have just spent 8 weeks touring the South Island and still didn't see all of it! We had a great time though. Thankfully we have our own motorhome and live in NZ so we can go and do the rest at another time...and again and again :) One comment about Queenstown and Arrowtown... tourism is BACK after covid and it was so busy there. In Queenstown either plan to stay the night in the campground closest to the town and walk - parking and traffic is insane there. Or, stay further out and get the bus. It's super cheap and you don't have to worry about traffic or parking.
Great vid Becs. There is so much to do in the South Island that you missed on. Places like Cromwell, Arthurs pass, the West Coast, the two glaciers, and that's just the area of your ten day itinerary....where do you stop?
Remember... you'll always be welcome back in NZ.
Maybe one day!!

Glad you liked hiking and I got to see your adventures. Cherries yum, No Kea? Thanks Beckka
No kea for us! I was really hoping but we didn’t spot any.
In Wanaka you can go to puzzle world
Ooh that sounds fun! Never even heard of it.

Good thought! We probably had a much different trip because tourism wasn’t huge at that point. And your trip sounds AMAZING! The stuff of dreams!
Fabulous video! Thank yoy so much
Thank you for watching 🥰

The Haast pass and west coast is my number one regret not getting to before we left! That and a northland trip 😭
Wow,you don't mind being on the edge at those heights. I think I would be very fear sweaty lol.
I’m pretty confident around heights!
Hopefully visitors get the fantastic weather you experienced. Although most of the wet horrible weather this year was in the North Island.
Yeah this last year was not nice 😅
NZ is not just Queenstown or central Otago
Definitely not. But you also can’t see all of New Zealand in a ten day trip.
Rohan Region...😊
Billy makes sure I say it correctly 😂 such a nerd.
You missed the top of the South Island completely!
We missed a lot more than that!
@@Becca.Loveless Those bits don't matter so much :-)
Move back❤
I would if Billy could get a job there!
come back.....................and stay
I wish! No job!
