How to Have A Chill Day in Medellin Colombia | La Provenza & Butterflies

Today we explore more of Medellin Colombia. This beautiful South American city is BIG and BUSTLING. Sometimes you may want to take a break from all business of the city and enjoy a relaxing day. The good news is you don't have to go far. The Botanical Garden of Medellín (Jardín Botánico de Medellín). You can see all kinds of flora & fauna from different regions around Colombia. There is a plethora of wildlife within the garden as well. From massive lizards roaming around to turtles swimming the pond. But nothing compares to the experience inside the butterfly exhibit. For the price of 5,000 Colombian pesos, or about $1.25 USD you can spend 20 minutes in the butterfly enclosure where they teach you all about the different types of butterflies and how to properly and safely interact with this beautiful and delicate animal species.
After a peaceful afternoon in the botanical garden a good place to meet and unwind over some drinks or food is the lively street known as La Provenza! Famous for its vibrant atmosphere, La Provenza boasts its title of "La Calle Mas Cool De Colombia" or in English: The Coolest Street In Colombia! You won't want to miss this social hub on your trip to Medellin Colombia!
