Many people look down on Excalibur but for the price you can’t go wrong. One tip each floor has a vending machine with soda and water and ice. Enjoyed your Vlog looking forward to the next instalment
Love this vlog, watched loads on vegas now over the years and you shown places we didn't know about or totally disregarded...Best vegas vlog we seen in ages x
Same! We wish we knew there was a McDonalds across the road to Mandalay Bay when we stayed at Luxor last year, we've been to Vegas 7 times but didn't realise that part of the strip existed! Great vlog.
Hi Sam, me and my friend are just back from week in Spain and decided to go to Vegas for our next trip. I spent all morning researching hotels and I decided on this hotel, log I to you tube and see you are staying here 😊 Its definitely a sign, looking forward to all the Vegas vlogs and thanks in advance for all the advice and tips 😊
Great vlog! You covered a lot of things in two days. Pro tip: After landing in Vegas, go to the nearest CVS, Walgreens, or the ABC Store ( next to Flyover) and grab waters and sodas for your full trip. That way, you can have drinks for the room and to walk the strip with. I also bring a collapsible cooler bag for the hotel room to fill with ice and keep the drinks cold. It's so cool that you captured one of the last volcano shows.
The Mango smoothie your mom got, it's a Tamarind Straw. A popular mexican candy that's made out of Tamarind fruit rolled in chili powder. Kind of tastes like a spicy fruit roll up. It's just wrapped around the straw and people often use it in alcoholic drinks that have tajin around the rim.
Hey Sam, first time watching your Vlogs, as a regular vegas visitor and vlog watcher I loved seeing it from the perspective you gave. You got so much done in your first couple days which is super impressive and the information you gave along the way was really cool! Can’t wait to see what else you get up to on your trip! Going to start on your New York series now as we are visiting there in February! Awesome video.
In an out burger have a secret menu I love the animal fries and another tip you can take your in and out meal to the pub across the road called ‘The American’ if you buy a drink from there 😎
I stay in The Excalibur every time I go to Vegas, just come back and did my first vegas vlog too. Loved your reactions, I had forgotten what its like to see Vegas for the first time
Hey Sam-the reason the info sign for the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign says “the lights are standard yellow” is because the colour of lights will change from time to time based on various social causes (I.e. Pink in October for Breast Cancer Awareness). So if the lights are not the “standard yellow” the sign will tell you what the color is and why they are that color. 😁 Thanks for sharing your travels with us!
I bet you had a great time! We stayed at The Excalibur the first time we went too - although it was 17 years ago now - do they still have the sponge bob squarepants 4D ride in the basement Also, coincidentally, we stayed at the Luxor on our second trip Looking forward to the next vlog
@@JourneysWithSam the Luxor's rooms are pretty much on a par with Excalibur as I remember, but the theming is really cool - the lifts go diagonally up to each level, rather than just straight up and down - it's a really weird sensation
Cool vlog really enjoyed it. You got the accessibility room because all other standard rooms sold out and your checking in late. Last 2 times we've stayed at luxor same thing has happened told reception without really complaining n both times got room we had booked following day n a fridge for room which is usually a extra charge
Thank you so much! Ahh I didn’t know this! We apparently had a luxury bathroom too, but that definitely didn’t happen! We didn’t make a fuss about it, but this is interesting to know for next time! Thank you ❤️
@@JourneysWithSam lol the thing is I prefer a bath hence why we had a upgraded room but had no bath just wetroom otherwise I'd asked lol. They told us to email them couple days before we check in and they will hold room back. Don't ever feel like your making a fuss in vegas the customer service is amazing especially at hotels. Also use monorail that starts at MGM Grand and goes all way to the Sahara a 5 day ticket is bout $40 but saves taxi fees n your legs lol
I am heading to that hotel in September. Flying from Manchester. :) Did you get your passport stamped upon arrival? How much did u pay in total for everything? Damage tax etc ..
Hello landed here some how. For a bucket place trip I would suggest one of the newer properties. The Caliber is a good location but it’s Old. But hey it’s cheap .

Hi Sam, you and your Mom were touring Vegas on Day 1 like pro’s! What a fantastic and full day! Hope you rest up for Day 2! Chris from Canada
Haha! The countless pre-planning paid off! Thank you ✨

We loved exalibur for a first time trip! I don’t think they do have the 4D ride, but it sounds pretty cool 😂! How was the Luxor? Thanks for watching!!

Hi, how much was taxi plus tips and charges ?
It was $28 in cash. It was $21 and then an extra $1 for fuel charge and we gave a $6 tip.
$40 per night resort fee, that is daylight robbery.
