    Hi Marco and thank you very much for this insight into the Dutch work culture. I can confirm the directness required, as I had a couple of interviews that I failed and got this feedback.
    I am waiting for other valuable content on your channel. 👍

      Hi Marco
      Thanks for providing another feedback about the interview process here in the Netherlands🇳🇱. I think this market is quite peculiar, according to me another super different aspect compared to Italy and other countries it is how important is to talk about your life beyond work, if you haven't done that, do it in your next interviews, they value it a lot here.
      Ps I love that there are so many Marco subscribed to the channel 😎😎

      @@MarcoFaski Yes all Marcos united 😁. In another interview I also noticed that the interviewer gave some details about his personal life, how many children he has and what he does in his free time.

      Doing that is totally normal here. Actually, if you don't, they look at you like you are weird or you hide something, so better sharing some information besides work 👌

    I tried to get to the Netherlands for 3 months but for my position they require the Dutch, so I choose to go to the Denmark and hoping that I will be able to move to the Hague as the next step of my career

      Hi Gabi
      Thanks a lot for your feedback, much appreciated.
      What is your role? This could be useful to get a better understanding of the Dutch job market, or perhaps if I know about the industry provide you tips for moving here in the future 🙂🙂

      @@MarcoFaski The role was cyber security consultant in the offensive security field, HR of various companies told me that my profile was well aligned but Dutch was mandatory, I believe due to the fact that you have to write report and you are always in contact with the customer. I'll try again next year!

      @@GabiEliteForce-um4uu Yeah, for some roles Dutch is mandatory. Actually even in Consulting sometimes they require the Dutch Knowledge so I am not surprised by that.
      I hope you are enjoying Denmark though, should be a great country too (I think at least) 😎😎😎

      Hi Marco,
      Nice we share the same name 😉😉
      I think the Netherlands offer a lot of opportunities, here is what I would do if I were you:
      1. Power up my English to get ready for an interview
      2. Reach out to Head hunters on LinkedIn and check the appetite for my working domain
      3. Test my readiness on an interview
      4. Get the job 😎
      Sounds like a good plan?
      Do you know anybody who moved here and has a similar background on aerospace engineering? 😎

      There are more opportunities in the aerospace sector in England and France. For the latter speaking a decent French helps a lot

      Perhaps USA is the top destination, but not the target for people who want to stay in Europe.
      Ps I never lived in France, but I think London (where I lived in the past) is a great place for career progression😎

    Hi marco, I'm moving to Rotterdam on September with my girlfriend. I'm an electrical engineer and I would find a job there. I have seen a lot of job opportunities on LinkedIn, is it better if i have a job interview before I leave or when I will come there? What do you think?

    • @MarcoFaski
      @MarcoFaski  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Roberto
      In general I think that it is always the best to apply from the country you are before moving to the Netherlands. This can give you an idea of the job market appetite for your profile. Did you try to apply on LinkedIn? Are you a graduate or experienced? That makes a big difference on the speed to find a job 😉😉😉😎

      @@MarcoFaski I have almost 2 years of work experience. I'm trying to create the right network on LinkedIn and then, before I leave, I will apply for some job interviews.
      Anyway thanks for the tips and congratulations, your videos are very helpful. 🙏🏼

      @@RobertoCalo-ci8lv thanks a lot Roberto. If you need feel free to write any questions you have in the comments (perhaps they could be useful also for somebody else looking for a job in the Netherlands). I think with 2 years experience and a good level of English you should be able to find job in few weeks. But start to apply as soon as possible via recruiters on LinkedIn, trust me that is the best strategy to speed up the process 😉😉😉

    Do you think the Netherlands is the best place to find a job in Europe?

    • @MarcoFaski
      @MarcoFaski  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think there is not just one best place. I think the Netherlands is among the top destinations for expats, then it depends on the main driver of a person the identification of the best place to move.
      I hope I answered your question 🫡🫡
