    Well done you guys. I did it last September at the age of 68 over 7 days and its one of the best things I've ever done.

    A really candid approach to the walk, it was nice to watch someone who had to work hard to complete it in an ordinary way instead of almost running the whole thing, thank you.

    Lorna, an absolutely fantastic vlog. I’ve seen so many videos with hikers and their big rucksacks ready for wild camping.
    With yours - you had b&bs and hotels . That is what I would like to do, don’t really fancy camping ⛺️.
    Was this a paid self guilded tour ?

    The vomiting you endured sounded very much like what happens when you overexert yourself. Not being a person who pushes herself that hard I haven't managed to find myself in that predicament. But I have sat with my son, who through extensive sports training, has pushed himself to the point of vomiting. I think your vomiting just was an outward sign of how hard you were pushing yourself, but also how much you were achieving mentally by continuing and overcoming. Well done. A massive achievement! I know it was hard, but the comparison of how your face looked at the beginning to how you looked at the end was so different. Despite how much you endured, your face looked alive and like your body had undergone a deep detoxing cleansing. I think your journey was inspiring.

    I've just watched all the vlogs of your Walk in one go on Sunday evening. Well done girls. Congratulations.
    I'm very proud of your Lorna. You've overcome your demons, put all the sceptics to the sword and achieved something you thought you couldn't do. Thank you to Jo for all her support and friendship

    Thankyou for sharing as it does take your time and energy too, I loved it! Its my favourite so far I like your commentary rather than to the camera but when you did it was a nice balance. Absolutely stunning, I'd love to come back, 🦘🐨 I have only the best of memories of my trips to Scotland. Congratulations! Well Done! My favourite of yours so far.. I do like your frankness and honesty.

    Great video ladies and very well done. You certainly had your fair share of rain which makes the walk tougher. I’m a bit of a WHW addict and can agree with you that May is the busiest month but you should try and come back and do it again in May or some other month and see the difference in the views (if you can see them😂). Late May can be really nice on Loch Lomond when all the bluebells are in bloom. I’m glad you kept going to the end. Great achievement and well done again.

    It took a lot of heart to overcome all that & stick it out to the end. That feat of mental endurance which required so much gritty, one-step-at-a-time determination from you is something to be much more proud of than the athletic feat of finishing a 96 mile hike. It will serve you in many more ways & for a lot longer than mere physical endurance ever could. Congratulations!

    What a wonderful view - or it would be if we could see it! - reminded me of the day-trip I had to Windermere - it deluged all day, so all we saw was the inside of a few shops, from which we enjoyed the view of a river pouring down where the road used to be!

    Well done Lorna, enjoyed watching the dailies too.
    Are you going to do a debrief?
    What would you do differently?
    How much did the trip cost you?
    How did you nurse your feet and blisters?
    What next?
    Best wishes....

    • @lornajaneadventures
      @lornajaneadventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d do a debrief but haven’t had lots of questions. I think the total cost was around £300 each excluding food. I didn’t get any blisters but as soon as I had any rubbing, I put plasters or tape on and I wore old boots. The only thing I’d do differently would be to have eaten a bit differently. Would have been easier in the summer I think with longer days

    • @Nuwerra
      @Nuwerra 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting Lorna, surprising how reasonable the costing was, considering, you stayed in hotels and hostels, and ate out when you could. Really pleased that you didn't suffer with blisters. Having just watched your Long Covid video , you really did so well to pace yourself despite having had severe respiratory illness so recently. Again feel proud girl, you did well, so well.
      Thank you for sharing.
      Take care.

    I love that you made it with the bad sickness in spring in the picture. One side question i got seing the train is why put the diesel in the front and the steam just as second? As Jo and Michael had told about the walk on their channel I was aware of that you were on your way and I kept my fingers crossed.

    • @lornajaneadventures
      @lornajaneadventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think because they were moving the train so far, they used the diesel too

    • @JISJ1964
      @JISJ1964 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lornajaneadventures In Sweden when they use combined engines it´s always steam first and diesel or electric behind to try to make a picture that the steam is the main source of power.
