More... more... more.... more... more... more... more... more... more. At the cost of sounding entitled, I implore you to follow up this video with others of it's kind. Sometimes seeing top tier play (near perfect) can be disheartening and worse more it offers nothing in the way of being an instructive tool on the journey to leveling up one's pool game. That's why I feel enlightened by the live narration going on in the video, more so, when you explain the mistakes, I realize the thought process I have whenever I play pool is too optimistic and erratic that it doesn't take into account how to deal with anticipated mistakes. And the visual aids showing the cue ball paths are much appreciated 👍. Thank you 😊
Love your content, and this is why ........ we all, as fans, and players see the "ultimate pool," in other words, the best bits !! Everyone makes mistakes some more than others, you never loose you learn ❤ love your content pal, the best break down of UK pool on TH-cam ❤❤❤❤❤❤ keep it up 💯
Thank you really appreciate that. That’s exactly what I’m trying to do, teach from working out what went wrong, rather than just watching someone doing it perfectly. I’m a reasonable player but miles away from being a pro and I’m still learning the game myself. I was worried people would scoff at someone who wasn’t a professional but I just wanted to try and help beginners and amateurs by looking at things from their level. Really glad you like the content. Thanks again.
Excellent video. Aimed right where my playing level is about at with knowing where I want the balls to go but not always getting them there. Great mind set. From a new subscriber just starting first ever league games at 42 😂 Ps. I like the new studio. Keep up the good work.
Great to see you back. A brave video to show that you are not quite (yet) at the Gareth Potts level! Must admit the “mistakes” you made are very similar to the ones I would be prone to make. The judgment of pace is so fundamental to positional play but so easy to get it fractionally wrong!
Cheers. Yeah but I’m happy to admit I’m nowhere near that level. Hopefully seeing I’m only human makes the video easier to relate to for beginners, rather than just watching a pro do something they know they can’t achieve. Surprisingly difficult to film this though and get a good balance of mistakes and success.
wouldn’t you have been able to play the shot to get onto the black along the tangent line and off two cushions to leave yourself onto the black into the corner ?
Yes you could although much like the firm top spin option you have to travel further so there is a little more room for error when getting the pace right. It's certainly a viable option. There's always several ways to get the position and as I said comes down to which you feel most confident with really.
This game is being played under “world rules”. In that rule set if you are snookered on your own colour set you can declare a “total snooker” to the ref. This then allows you to escape the snooker without hitting a cushion with any ball after contact. I now play International rules and that is not allowed, like you say, you have to hit a cushion, even when snookered. It’s just different rule sets.
These "thinking out loud" clearance (or attempted clearance) videos are great, especially warts and all!
Excellent teaching method! More in this style would be most welcome. Thank you!
This helps me a lot on how you're logicing through each shot. The diagram lines are helpful
Loved this video, it's like seeing the lessons of all your other videos but in action!

Thank you. It definitely seems to be popular so I'll make some more.
This is great. I really like hearing the pivot when you have to make the best out of a slightly worse situation.
Awesome vídeo, this is one of the best i ever seen. Really really helpfull with very good illustrations and explanations. Congratulations.
Thank you, appreciate that.

Fantastic video mate as always 👍 I recently got the same table at home but black with blue cloth, life is a dream!
So useful! Thanks
One of the best videos I've ever seen on why we make mistakes and how to learn from them. Brilliant! 👌🏻
Your instruction and production quality is superb. Thank You!

I'll see what I can do.

I like this video 👍👍
Great presentation….thanks ! The best on YT 👍🏼
Awesome stuff mate :)
Cheers
Love the video. Great tips. Is the pool room purpose built? What size did you get. Thanks
Cheers. If you check my videos there’s one called My pool room, that has all the
details.
Awesome video mate. Please may I ask you, which one of them triangles (which we can see on the end of your table) do you prefer to use?
Cheers. I prefer the pro version on the right.
@@PoolSchool - Hi, thank you for your quick response. Why do you prefer the pro version over the one with the spring loaded bar?
Have a look at this video I made comparing the two, goes into detail about both of them. th-cam.com/video/KC4BfYBQ4jU/w-d-xo.html
@@PoolSchool - Thank you very much.
Thanks
Thank you so much. You are my first ever "super thanks", much appreciated.

The problem with the missed yellow and the safety shot is in APA rules it was ball in hand to the red.
I'm playing to World Rules in this video so because it was a "Total Snooker" you are allowed to not hit a cushion afterwards when escaping a snooker.
In playing most games, if you fail to go to a rail with the cue ball or object ball, it’s a foul and the other player has ball in hand.
This game is being played under “world rules”. In that rule set if you are snookered on your own colour set you can declare a “total snooker” to the ref. This then allows you to escape the snooker without hitting a cushion with any ball after contact.

You should coach . . . . ??
