  • We do a complete suspension shock tune using the Fox Tune guide as a reference and make our own modifications on the 2019 Can Am Maverick X3 XDS Turbo R 64". We adjust the settings for: pre-load, crossover, High Speed, Low speed, and Rebound components. We even reveal a common mistake that may save some time.

    Pretty sure the crossover measurement is made from the top of the spring to the bottom of the lower crossover ring. You can see this on Fox’s diagram on the shock that tells the crossover and spring length.

    We would only pull these measurements for preload and crossover with the car fully loaded. settling the shocks by shaking the car is also inadequate

    Great video, I was able to adjust my front shocks thank you! I am stuck on the rear shocks. Can you provide the rear pre-load and cross over instructions please.

    • @AdventureStreamingGuys
      @AdventureStreamingGuys  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Rear pre load is 6" from the top of the plastic cap on shock to the top of first crossover ring. Top of first crossover ring is 9 5/6" to plastic cap on top of shock. Hope this helps.

    Great video but a couple things. Did you take it out and drive it before taking the ground clearance measurement? If not it’s going to settle once the tires move out. Second the crossover rings can be set on or off jacks because it never movers.

    Are you using the same 3" measurement for preload on rear as you did on the front? And what about the crossover measurement for rear? Fox specs say crossover front 4.5" and rear 6". You did 5" in the front but didnt say what you did in the rear.

    • @AdventureStreamingGuys

    • @AdventureStreamingGuys
      @AdventureStreamingGuys  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      ok while the machine is on the ground, front crossover is 1 5/6- 2" from top of rubber stopper to the middle of the two crossover rings. Back crossover is 1 3/4 " using same measurement type.

      Lol just for your enjoyment I thought I’d share, I also just broke the top locking for the bottom part of the crossover.. on both my front shocks.. so now I’m 100% screwed.

    • @AdventureStreamingGuys

      Easier to use a spring compressor u can rent at auto parts store or use a ratchet strap. Sometimes you cab use a pipe wrench and spin the 2 locking spiral nuts
