    Peace and Blessings. I'm fairly new to your channel. I've always been told to remove the netting before you let the animals eat, to prevent the chance of an animal ingesting the netting and possibly getting it tangled in their intestines.

    SHALOM. YOUR HOMESTEAD/FARM IS REALY ORGANIZED. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE THOSE WHO ARE ENVIOUS AND JEALOUS JUST BECAUSE. MY SON TALKED ABOUT HOW THOSE HAYROLLS ARE HEAVY. I AM SURE THEY LAST LONGER BUT YOU MUST DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. IT'S A SHAME PEOPLE CANYJUST LET PEOPLE LIVE WHILE MINDING THEIR OWN BUSINESS. HATERS WILL BE HATERS. YOUR CHILDREN ASSIST TOO. A FAMILY AFFAIR. ENJOY YOUR HOMESTEAD.

      People should not be angry about other folks criticisms because often times you can learn from that unless you’re just being plain nasty, but sometimes people live their lives a certain way and they don’t see that something could be not right with that life and just because someone mentioned it Could change a whole lot of things so it’s not about being angry. It’s a learning experience.

    • @HairstonFamilyHomestead
      @HairstonFamilyHomestead  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @ in our case people were being nasty…posting our address as if they wanted something to happen. Not sure why you would do that unless you wished harm upon someone…
      But I do agree people can be blind to how they do things…we are most certainly open to opinions/criticism but there is a saying that goes…”it’s not what you say it’s how you say it” ignorance is bliss.

    • @queenadiyah9779
      @queenadiyah9779 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ SHALOM. EVERYTHING IS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE HOWEVER THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CRITICISM AND ENVY. IF I OVERSTAND CORRECTLY THIS ABOUT THEIR HOMESTEAD. I FOLLOW OTHER TH-camRS AND EACH CHANNEL DOES WHAT WORKS FOR THEIR HOMESTEAD OR FARM. IN THIS CASE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT ANIMALS AND COVERS. IF PEOPLE WOULD SHOW MORE CONCERN FOR THE HOMELESS OVER ANIMALS THIS WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE. AS MRS. HAIRSTON STATED THEY HAVE A COVER THE ANIMALS CHOOSE NOT TO USE IT. THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE IF SOME WOULD MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS OR SWEEP AROUND THEIR OWN FRONT PORCH WHILE WORRIED ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE. REMOVE THE BEAM FROM THEIR OWN EYE WHILE TRYING TO POINT OUT THE BEAM IN SOMEONE ELSE’S. GREAT DIALOGUE. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. SHALOM.

    Love love that you are farming. Go young people go. I love it. Live how you let nothing go to waste with that hay. What I dont understand is wouldn’t it be better to put the animals food in a trough as opposed to throwing it on the ground because think about how much is smashed into the mud. Poor piggies, I would feed them from a trough so please don’t throw the food on the ground. Would you like to eat off the ground in mud, piss and poo poo. Remember you are what you eat😃😃😃

    • @HairstonFamilyHomestead
      @HairstonFamilyHomestead  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hello, they have a trough, all they do if flip it in the ground anyways so we just let it be naturally the way they want it. Pigs love to dig and look for food so yeah they like eating in the mud etc, that’s what pigs do.

    You guys may want to invest in a livestock scale (if you dont have one already) to have an idea of what your larger animals weigh to protect your interests prior to processing.
