- On July 29th, 2021, the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services approved Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s bill increasing oversight of ‘family offices.’ These offices of the mega-rich control $6 trillion (more than private equity and venture capital COMBINED) yet have ZERO oversight. One family office recently caused $10 billion in losses across several major banks.

While I applaud her attempt, It's ultimately doomed to failure. If they don't want the system to change, it won't. Not one iota.
Love her or hate her, she makes a lot to f sense with a lot of the bills she proposes. I think it's very obvious she is one of the few that actually want fairness for the people. This is something that has to change, along with many other things regarding transparency and fairness in the stock market because it isn't a level playing field and hasn't been since....ever.
