Hosting shouldn't be a reason for why WordPress websites get hacked. In my experience, it is not very common and difficult to confirm as the reason for websites hosted on a shared environment (don't have access to grep the control panel access logs).
If updating is that important how come nobody comes with some sort of plugin update automatically all your stuff and take a backup before it or themes and plugins dont have auto update on them?
Good question. Auto updaters are out there. The backup/restore tutorial that I link to from this tutorial use the MainWP dashboard to manage many site backups. In that dashboard, you can schedule your backups and auto-update plugins. I don't know if you can set it to the make the backup right before it does the plugin updates though. The trouble with auto-updating is that sometimes the updates break the site. To identify those issues when they happen you need to be involved in the update process. MainWP lets you selectively auto-update plugins too. So if you're sure that a certain plugin's update will never break your site, then you can make that plugin "trusted" in MainWP and it will be auto-updated as soon as an update is available. Plugin updates breaking sites has become quite rare, but it still happens from time to time. It's usually due to conflicts with other plugins on the site. I hope that helps :) Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for watching!
@@wplearninglab Yeah man I saw that one I think with updraft+ but it doesn't backup before update as u said I didn't know about auto-update tho tnx for that and replaying to this and I'm glad u got better camera Keep up the good work
I did a little bit of research and discovered that UpdraftPlus Premium automatically creates a backup before any plugin, theme or core file updates. But it's Premium.
Just a Devil's Advocate. Why not just use Guttenberg for your Wordpress, so you could lessen the Plug-ins you'll install in your site. Requires more time & effort at the start but Less plug-ins, less stress to think about and less vulnerability. what do you guys think?
I think it's a great idea, Gutenberg just isn't there yet. People have become used to point and click, drag and drop site building. Gutenberg will be a long time until it does that well.
Hey can you create a video on WooCommerce user roles, and how to restrict content or change behaviour functions based upon user roles, including WooCommerce user role? If someone is not a subscriber through WooCommerce certain content should be restricted or have the behaviour of certain content changed. Stuff like that..
WordPress Tutorials - WPLearningLab Awesome man - Will look forward to Them! I have a listing directory page atm Where people can subscribe via wc subscriptions plugin and then page content should work differently based upon the logged in user is a subscriber Or not as i Said . This seems to require custom code but Maybe there is a plugin for it Im not really sure and Its difficult to find for me . But looking forward to your videos
@@wplearninglab Its probably not a subject that will get a ton of views though :D user and content restriction/content behaviour etc. but would appreciate it alot

I'm glad I got a better camera too :) But I we can't start at the finish line, we have to start with what we have.
