The one thing I wish they had is an optional post mission staging area where you can see your team mates who all have something to say based on how well the mission went. Forensics people doing forensics things and paramedics doing paramedic things. And also allows you to go through the map to find details you may have missed.
Canceling the arrest animation is cool and all, but honestly the problem is the idiots on SWAT AI running into open thresholds to pick up wrapping getting themselves smoked. Kills immersion like no other.

There also just isn’t always a viable spot to have them stack up, so you end up holding them way farther behind you as you move. The AI will leapfrog you by 10 or 15 feet, that behavior shouldn’t exist without a direct order to do so. I can’t understand how VOID doesn’t see this glaring issue, it can’t be too difficult to resolve. All they’d need to do is turn off the automated ‘search and secure’ function, make it only trigger on either a direct order, after fully clearing a room or if it would take zero movement to do so. This coupled with how cracked out of their mind the Suspect AI can be makes me wonder if/how they play their own game.

I play on shitty old laptop 8gb ram, i core i5 9th gen and rtx2060 (remember its laptop so gpu is worse than on pc) I had terrible lags but then I switched on dx11 rather than 12 and on epic settings I have around 70fps.
They could use the switch illuminator for a blueprint and then implement the API hard into the base game. In theory, its not that hard, but I am not a game developer.
3:49 The optic at the end of that GIF seems to be a Wilcox BOSS XE, which is a smart optic with 5 different reticle options, the ability to swap from supersonic to subsonic round ranging, bluetooth connectivity apparently (for ATAK stuff?) and a built in laser. Interesting that LSPD has them, considering it costs $4,500--for reference, EOTechs usually cost around $800.
@@WZNGT I do have a theory about that, they could've borrowed GPNVG-18s from the LS Sheriff's Department when their staffing/funding got cut (as the real LA Sheriff's Department was seen using GPNVGs while serving a high-risk warrant iirc in 2016), however interestingly for the PVS-31 dual-tubes who knows how they could've gotten them--as they are newer than the GPNVG-18s.
I think it would be a good idea to have a funding system for story/commander mode, where the better you do during missions (getting a higher grade), the more funding the LSPD gets, allowing them to unlock higher-tech options.

An economy would be nice, not only does it fit with the lore, it also improves replayability. I hope they rework commander mode in the future. I'd also love if they can include situations you can choose for each maps.
Big maps aren’t my fav either. I hate searching around for that one last civilian. I want it to feel more like a swat sim, clearing a single building. I guess stuff like the hospital makes sense as a large setting for swat but what about this oil rig? Is it really plausible that a swat team gets called out for this and not HRT or something?
I like big maps, only if it's filled with interiors and small rooms to clear, not too open like Postal and the new Port, the game doesn't shine in those. I prefer maps like the old Port, huge but room-to-room. Small maps with random layouts is also on my wishlist.
I am actually the opposite I love the bigger maps. I also like the small ones but I personally do not like it if they are too small I usually rarely play them
I still can't believe the matchmaking is as bad as it was at launch. Getting into a lobby that you don't randomly lose connection to after 1 mission is very difficult.
the issue with the already existing hesitation animations is, that pointeng the gun at the officer seems to part of all those giving up animations, at which point the person always gets shot when you try to realistically prioritize your officers well being. I am killing so many give ups because of that, because i just don't play the meta game. I like to play emmersive, and when you point your gun at me you will die. That's just how it is. Just create som proper give up and hesitation animations. Don't get me wrong, i would not remove these animations, since i believe this might happen irl too, that someone gets shot despite being willing to give up because he just were not able to safely handle his weapon wile giving up. But just add more variety and more animations. And i know i say this since multiple years now. But i want object limitation rules for suspect AI. it cannot be that i have limitations they do not have. How is it so hard to force them into high or low ready too.. How is it so difficult to let me be able to squeeze the trigger while being in high or low ready. accidental shots and misfiring are the very reason for this practice. so let me fire please. Despite this being full bullcrap anyways. There is not one reason why i would not be able to fire my handgun just because it's forced close to my body. This is exactly why they teach you to pull your gun to your body in close contact, so you can still fire and while being able to maintain control of your gun. This one sided limitation as awful. maybe with fixing the AI behavior into less suicidal this will become less of a factor, but it should be addresses since this is a really old and nonsensical issue in this game. They can force your friendly AI into same limitations. So they surely can do that to civ and sus AI too.. cheers

I love Ready or Not but I think it should fix the problems with framerate stability, online multiplayer and stupid AI before pushing DLCs. It's not about whether I want it or not, it's the core of the game that should work properly.

I would really like the chance for overwatch on some maps where someone can go and be a sniper protect the team, port hokan is the only map where this is sorta possible but the place where you could do it is so far in it becomes useless.
Wish they would add a PvP mode like Sniper Elite Axis Invasion - where 1-2 of the 'AI' are actually real players, and the mode can be switched on/off for the lobby.
Love the updates, my main problem is still that the game crashes like crazy since the last update… all of my squad mates and myself are experiencing frequent crashes. Unplayable…
More DLC while not fixing the horrifically bad suspect AI that has been here before 1.0 dropped and ever since, it's shameful that we NEED to use mods to fix this when it should be priority number one
@@yellowsaurus4895 It doesn’t function as though you are actually in the stack though, the AI just do whatever their automated clearing would be regardless of whether or not you go in with them. They don’t respond to where the player goes, they will also very often walk in front of your muzzle if you slow down or stop.
Kevlar - weakest but you get movement speed Ceramic - Probably the best imo; decent movement speed and protection Steel - Slowest speed, but they don't break; you still take damage and break bones though
@@Thatboxlady Forgot to mention that steel causes bullets spalling...which means anyone next to you will also receive some damage if you get hit in the plates. Kevlar has been nerfed hard though, speed increase isn't that noticeable and ceramic significantly increases your chances of survival.
Hopefully they end up branching out from swat to Marine Raiders and Seals type stuff. Because their Ai is still dumb af, so just shelving the 'surrender!' would be easier for them.
no, this game style isn't suited to regular warfighter and sf types. keep it law enforcement and counter tango. also, they need to add way more friendly ai officiers. why are we going into missions with 20 guys with just 5 officers? totally immersion breaking. i don't care if the game is less difficult, realism>difficulty. just make enemy ai smarter, hide better, and harder to hit, then you'll increase the difficulty the immersive way
Show me a game doing more for immersive, responsive AI. Does the AI still have flaws? Yeah. But I can't think of another shooter around that is putting this much effort into AI. If you can give me good examples of AI done better in shooters, in a similar fashion, I'll eat my words.

In RoN, they'll hide under beds, in closets, etc. They'll surrender, fake surrender, become active again after surrending if you don't maintain control. They'll take human shields. They'll off themselves. I recently had one using hit and run tactics on me where I kept having to chase him around the map because he'd pop a few rounds and book it around a corner. In SWAT 4, things feel pretty rigid. You can tell exactly when they are going into different animation sets. So you can see when they are surrendering before they technically start. Likewise, you can pretty easily tell a real surrender from a fake one. In addition, they don't really do a lot of the stuff the AI in RoN is capable of. I'd love to see a side by side video analysis of the differences. There may be places where the SWAT 4 AI is better. But on the whole, the RoN AI is pushing things forward. And as I said, they are pretty much the only current game I know of that is putting this much attention into AI. We should absolutely give feedback on how it can be better, but to call it garbage is disingenuous. It's better than pretty much any AAA studio is doing right now, and VOID isn't exactly a huge, big budget studio.

@@kskr8610 It’s not about room clearing, it’s about the instant visual pickup and unnecessarily high accuracy at long ranges. Look at the Port map for example, the instant you peek around a container and enemy from 100+ meters away instantly sees and shoots at you. It would be one thing if the AI was actively holding an angle, but to turn 90 degrees and immediately get rounds on target is too much. Additionally it’s obnoxious that the SWAT AI is noticeably slower than the Suspect AI, that’s another thing that makes them feel very unfair. And before you say ‘it’s a skill issue’, I’ve S ranked everything and gotten the Ironman mode without losing officers achievement. In a game where you can die to a single shot, the enemies need to be in the realm of reality.

Adding multiple attachments is something they wanted to do, but they couldn't for one reason or another.

It's pretty much established that the LSPD SWAT is understaffed but somehow super well funded with their NVGs and all that.

Framerate is fine for me on a mid level rig. You have to run the game in DX12, DX11 has had issues on this game since the Adam update.

In RoN, they'll hide under beds, in closets, etc. They'll surrender, fake surrender, become active again after surrending if you don't maintain control. They'll take human shields. They'll off themselves. I recently had one using hit and run tactics on me where I kept having to chase him around the map because he'd pop a few rounds and book it around a corner.
In SWAT 4, things feel pretty rigid. You can tell exactly when they are going into different animation sets. So you can see when they are surrendering before they technically start. Likewise, you can pretty easily tell a real surrender from a fake one. In addition, they don't really do a lot of the stuff the AI in RoN is capable of.
I'd love to see a side by side video analysis of the differences. There may be places where the SWAT 4 AI is better. But on the whole, the RoN AI is pushing things forward. And as I said, they are pretty much the only current game I know of that is putting this much attention into AI. We should absolutely give feedback on how it can be better, but to call it garbage is disingenuous. It's better than pretty much any AAA studio is doing right now, and VOID isn't exactly a huge, big budget studio.
No mention of fixing the broken replay mode

@@kskr8610 It’s not about room clearing, it’s about the instant visual pickup and unnecessarily high accuracy at long ranges. Look at the Port map for example, the instant you peek around a container and enemy from 100+ meters away instantly sees and shoots at you. It would be one thing if the AI was actively holding an angle, but to turn 90 degrees and immediately get rounds on target is too much. Additionally it’s obnoxious that the SWAT AI is noticeably slower than the Suspect AI, that’s another thing that makes them feel very unfair.
And before you say ‘it’s a skill issue’, I’ve S ranked everything and gotten the Ironman mode without losing officers achievement. In a game where you can die to a single shot, the enemies need to be in the realm of reality.

We're going to add multiple attachments at once to make the game a more realistic but also you can wear night vision over gas masks that makes a lot of sense are you a arcade shooter
In what realm does Ready or Not strike you as being an arcade shooter? And you CAN use NFE with a mask, it's just a lot harder
