Did a ride there about a month ago. Parked in Englewood Cliffs, over GWB, up to Fort Royal, Randalls Island, Roosevelt Island, tram back to NYC, to Central park from south to north, back over GWB. Great fun day!
I did something similar about 15 years ago. I started at my grandma's place in Staten Island and rode my bicycle all the way through Manhattan up to the Bronx (I turned around by Yankee stadium) and back. The only public transportation I took was the Staten Island Ferry. Very exhilarating ride. NYC was surprisingly not a difficult place to navigate on a bicycle.
I remember how much I used to love NY and NJ. I wouldn't be caught dead there now. What a shame what has happened to NY :( Great video Heather. Always nice to see you riding
Your video is so awesome! First time running across your channel. I’ll be subscribing now for sure! I love van life stuff, bike stuff, and your just laid back real vibes are just so easy to watch! Love it!
Great video. I would love to visit New York at Christmas. Would also love to ride my Mtb there. I’m sure all the New Yorkers would love my south Georgia accent.
Thank you so much for posting this! I live in upstate New York, and never thought of doing this. I'm totally going to do this now. The World Trade Center segment was really touching.
Cool video, makes the city look fun. Not my vibe but you did a great job making it look like a fun adventure. I'd rather be riding on the dirt. Go check out the Adirondacks or other great MTB riding in Upstate NY next!
Nice video Heather really enjoyed watching it. But I don’t know about risking your life riding through the city it look very easy to get your self clean up bye a car or a Bus . All ways looking forward to seeing you on your next video take care
Nice, we’ve ridding around the City on our Bike from the Jersey City Ferry. Not bad at all!.. Check out the Trails in Allamuchy, Hackettstown, NJ.. Fun trails!
Really cool video, there must be hours of potential content in NYC. And your ride was so much more casual than the Allycat races and messenger biking videos I‘ve gone down the rabbit hole watching.
Lol. I’m from nj , and rode in Central Park for 20 years 🎉 enjoy ,,,,, loving this episode. 7.1 miles around the track if I remember. I did three hot laps in my prime. 21 miles full speed
Uncle Rico and I did that same ride but we played a game where ever time we see a hot dog vendor we buy one and slam it, then pedal as fast as we can to the next one Uncle Rico had 37 hot dogs that day, the hot dog vendor's still talk about it to this day...
Heather, breaking the law in the subway....you little rascal. Love the urban bike tour of Time Square. Since you are a golfer you should try Chesea Piers driving range a total urban multi-level range. I have not been but heard it's definitely New York. I just played De Laveaga in Santa Cruz and Mountain biked Wilder Ranch which I was not impressed with but will try Nisene Marks Forest is Santa Cruz soooon....
Hi Heather. I live in British Columbia, Canada, well actually on Vancouver island. We have tons of mountain biking trails. I ride with my brothers. Riding in a city can be pretty intense 😮 I would love to ride with you. 👍 Be safe out there pretty 😍 girl. ❤
Just so you know. You can get a redlight ticket from NYPD for running a redlight. Ask me how I know. Lol, I got pulled over by an NYPD cop on a Citi bike and given a $180 ticket. Also if you come out to Suffolk county Long island reach out. There are some nice trails out here. Overton Preserve is really good, As well as Glacier Ridge. Then you have Meadowlark park which is really good too. I watch a lot of your stuff and would love to ride with you if you ever come out this way.
@@HeatherMunive can't go wrong! You were smart to not get the hot dog from the halal cart haha. But halal is absolutely fantastic in Manhattan at basically any cart
I usually ride along the Hudson River when I'm on my road bike. Subway seemed like an adventure so I went that route. But the ride from NJ to NYC is incredible one of my favs
Oh it was had 3 days to go around hit up Central Park Times Square mainly stayed in Manhattan and just had a blast doing everything in a bike would be fun
Instead of holding that selfish stick and hold your handle bar w/1 hand, have you thought about using an insta360? You can mount it anywhere, on the bike, on your shirt, helmet, even a selfish stick mount it on the handle bar...
it was such a cool video, i live in a small town in indiana.and i will probably never see such beautiful sites in my life.espically where the twin towers were.thank you so much for sharing.
I've never seen any other city as busy as NYC. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing your adventure. Please be safe.

This was fantastic, Heather. I'm up in the Hudson Valley and this makes me wanna visit the city again. Thanks for sharing!
You better bring weapons with you buddy not necessarily a gun but you better have something. Crime is off-the-charts in the city now

Im so glad you enjoyed it. NYC sure is a magical place filled with so much to do and see.
Heather that gold watch makes me worry a bit in some of the neighborhood you’re riding through.
Lol. I’m from nj , and rode in Central Park for 20 years 🎉 enjoy ,,,,, loving this episode. 7.1 miles around the track if I remember. I did three hot laps in my prime. 21 miles full speed

sounds like the perfect route for a carbon trail ht.
So cool! I gotta make that trip.
Did you have to adjust your tire pressure and rebound settings for that trip? 😆
hahah them street potholes are gnarly!!
@@HeatherMunive 😆
thank you for the video Heather, I will be moving back to NYC next month and cant wait to put some miles on my hardtail.
NYC is incredible. Can't wait for you to put them miles in!!!
Pedaling NYC would be scarier for me than the A-line or Whole Enchilada. I like walking it, though...
I'm calling it. This is going to be your biggest video (to date).
Thank you 😊😊😊
This is a October 2022 video..? 🤔 What temperature u have there..? Looks so sad 2 see a StumpJumper into the city streets 🤫😁Nice video, anyway 😉✌️
The Stumpy deserves to see all types of riding 😊

Us locals call any meat from those carts "street meat" or "dirty water dogs"
They were good!!

Why take the subway? You have a mountain bike. Could have rode from Jersey, GWB and then rode all the way down on the west side trail.
I usually ride along the Hudson River when I'm on my road bike. Subway seemed like an adventure so I went that route. But the ride from NJ to NYC is incredible one of my favs
street meat for the win!
Trouble Maker 😜

After the lawlessness the Demoncrats have allowed to go unchecked there…not a chance 😂🤣
No thanks, I'll pass.
