- My good Friend Madison Pitts came to California from Colorado for the weekend. We had three days to ride all the local SoCal trails. Here is our Friday full day of riding. Picked her up from the airport straight to the trails in San Clemente and then Santiago Oaks in the evening.

Always cool to thank the hikers that give right of way. So rare in Kentucky for hikers to yield to bikes, it’s refreshing to see. Beautiful area and sick trails with cool peeps. Love my Maddie and J-rad.

Do bikes have the right of way on your trails in Kentucky? If so, sounds like some hikers want to get run down lol..
@@meganNefarious we do have the right of way, but unfortunately most (not all) hikers in these parts dont care, and will often stand their ground angrily as bicycles approach. I’ve been cursed at and even threatened on the trail despite riding up slowly, making plenty of noise, smiling and greeting them from afar. It’s shameful behavior when the hikers behave this way but I’ve learned to expect it from the less informed hikers. Hope you guys never encounter it.
@@davegrigsby7807 Wow that's super upsetting lol...Humans suck.. Luckily, most of our (downhill) trails here in western Washington are bike only so you don't see a lot of hikers in the area. Although, my riding partner DID almost plow over some people that were hiking up a double black, bike only trail, on two separate occasions! Pretty famous trail...Predator on Tiger Mtn.. You'd have to be mentally disabled to think it was a hiking trail....and it's clearly marked, so they either didn't bother looking at signage...or just straight up didn't care lol.
@@steelewheels1365 Ummmm not if bikes have the right of way lol Just follow trail rules and there won't be any problems...simple as that..

Ahhh my old riding grounds. Miss those trails. Relocated to Norcal where I found mire Siiick trails to ride. Mr. Toad’s in Lake Tahoe as well as Big Chief. A bunch in the Auburn area as well. Hope you get a chance to check those out some time as well!
