Thank you for showing a how to with fabric. Do you think you can go up the sides (the left and right side) of the drawer without to many complications? My drawers are old and ugly.
You’re welcome! I have done it on this desk: www.confessionsofaserialdiyer.com/thrift-store-desk-makeover/ You do need to be sure the drawers have enough clearance that the fabric doesn’t rub on the sides. You can also paint the drawers if they are in really bad shape!
For those concerned, spraying Scotch Guard on top of fabric would keep it clean and protect it longer. Use a damp cloth to wipe whenever needed. (Works wonders on cloth furniture.)
I love your website I love following you you’ve got some great ideas I was just watching the one on midge podge fabric in the drawers and I noticed you did not put a coat on top. If we want to protect the fabric a bit more would it be OK to do that

Hi Cheryl! I did use lighter fabric on this one, but I usually choose a darker, more forgiving fabric. A drawer in an end table like this shouldn’t get too dirty through. You can always spot clean and if you even need to replace the fabric, it pulls out pretty easily.
Good morning! It can be removed, but it will take a little muscle to remove it. The Mod Pod adheres it very well, but the nice thing about using fabric vs paper is that it can be removed if you want.

If you use a piece of cardboard or foamcore cut to size, and affix the fabric to it, then it's easy to remove and no damage to the furniture.
