I was so inspired by your explanation and lovely techniques. I went to the dollar store got the napkin and went to St Michael’s and got mod podge and tried it today, it turned out great. It was my first time and felt good to do something for the first time in a long time😀👌🏻 Going to try more. Keep inspiring. Love from Canada 💜😀
Thank you so much for showing step by step how to do this. I am new to decoupage, trying to get up my nerve to try it. I feel so much more confident after watching your video! Thank you!
Thank you for your beginner tutorial. I've done some but I see some of the beautiful creations others have made and I want to jump right in. Made me think about it and realize I need to take it slow. Enjoyed your presentation as it was simple, what and what not to do, and I need to be patient. Thank you again.
Once again a great, helpful video! Thank you. I don't consider myself a true 'beginner' but I always learn from all of your videos and gain confidence the more I watch.
Thank you so much for the chalk paint recipe and for this great tutorial on learning decoupage. I really want to give this a try and plan on watching you again as I hopefully, improve !!
My astrological sign is Leo so I am a naturally creative and passionate person (who has an interest in Arts and Crafts), and Decoupage is something I've always been interested in doing, but I have never done it before so I accessed this video to learn how to do it. Thanks for posting this. :)
Thanks! I’ve done a few fabric decoupage projects but am still new at this. I’ve watched a couple dozen various videos and learn something new from every single one.
Hi I like what you have done but where I live in the Canary Islands it’s hard to find the glues and varnish but folded your tips and it helped a lot . Thank you
This was a great video! Thank you! I plan to try my first decoupage project soon. I am going to do it on a heavy paper/cardboard box that will hold a few books, I hope it works out! 🤞
You are an excellent teacher! Was wondering if you would be so kind as to decoupage a mason jar with a handle, as I will be attempting to pass it forward at my senior complex. TFS Take Care, God Bless You & God Bless Our Country!
1st timer here. Great video.....Artist w a mixed media background...now adding some Decoupage, w my Woodburning. Endless uses.. .💥💝 ANYWAY, Ur Video was delivered so calmly.- & the NO annoying background music.. was a real treat . So Thank You.
Morning. I have a somewhat difficult little wooden box to cover. After looking at your video, i have hope for the first time. Tried twice and failed, and it took me a whole day to take it all off and start again. 🤦🏼♀️ i don’t want that happening again. Thank you for easy to follow directions. From South Africa. ❣️🥰🥰🙋🏼♀️❤️🌸
Well, i wish i can show you the little box !!! It’s totally covered now. I have to think about sealing it. Actually, i am afraid to do it. We do not have that sealer you used, so my project is on halt for the moment. But thanks, i am making progress and i am excited. 🤩🤩🥰🙋🏼♀️❤️🇿🇦🇿🇦
I want to decoupage tile to make coasters. What would you use to seal the napkin after using mod podge? You step by step tutorials are so simple and easy to follow. Thank you 😊
Thanks for watching Bonnie❤️ I have used outdoor poly acrylic sealer on coaster and it has worked good. I have also seen people use automotive lacquer spray sealer and say it works really well also.
Really enjoyed the video made it seem a lot simpler than it sounds and you do beautiful work I would like to subscribe for more videos and helpful hints
I would like to find a source for buying that Varathane sealer used to seal the transfer on bottle. It was last step. Would just like to try instead of mod lodge. Thank you. The video was just what I needed!
Found my mother's giant collection of cutouts and hav been wanting to learn to decoupage. THANK YOU Also...what is the difference between decoupage and aquapage?
if you have time to answer my question... I want to decoupage prints of album covers to a wall, a space over a counter in our bonus room. Would you suggest that regular printer paper would work? I'm going to go to a print shop that has 12x12 paper, hopefully...and decoupage onto the wall. thanks and great video!
Do I need to worry about color bleeding when choosing napkins? Do cheap napkins perform just as well as higher quality napkins? Thank you for the helpful video.
Hello, Thanks for all the great info. I want to upcycle a beige platter. The color coordinates with my napkin. Do I still need to apply chalk paint? The platter is stoneware. Will decoupage work on stoneware? Thanks!
Thanks for watching Jackie. I actually don’t because it would be to difficult with so many different computer programs and versions. Everyone’s set up is different.
Hello and thank you for posting this video. I do you have a quick question I painted wood with chalk paint first then added a thin layer and put my napkin on and it looked perfect until I put a thin layer of Modge podge on top and it bubbled what did I do wrong. I did let it dry overnight before I put a coat on top
I find when using mod podge as a topcoat if you put too much on it will bubble up. Are use a water-based poly acrylic sealer as my topcoat and only put on a very thin coat hope that helps
Very easy to follow. I did my first decoupage and it looks ok. Question: I have the same polyacrylic sealer as you, but mine says Interior satin. Does it matter if it is Interior rather than Outdoor?
Why you do not using the podge to seal as a finish the bottle, I'm new in this, I ve been reading on the internet that can be used as a coat to protect the object. Some of them R also dish washer safe. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much for making this wonderful video for beginners 💝 Can i use the chalkpaint (think thats how u spell it lol) on surfaces of a fridge? Thank you 💝

Also if you have lots of wrinkles, use cling film or suran wrap by pressing the wrap and 11:25 rub over them and it will smooth them out x
Great tip

That would be awesome! Share it over in messages on my Facebook! Link is in the description :)
thank you it was helpful tutorial, but how can we make the texture like ceramic?
I am wondering if you have a video showing how to download and print the graphics and sizing them to fit the wood piece that you want to decoupage on?
Thanks for watching Jackie. I actually don’t because it would be to difficult with so many different computer programs and versions. Everyone’s set up is different.
I have a question please if you do a tray can you put food on it like cheese and biscuits crackers same with bottles can they be handwashed
This is for decor only unless you’re using a specific mod podge product for food

Can i use the chalkpaint (think thats how u spell it lol) on surfaces of a fridge?

I have never done that. I think you would want to go to your hard ware store and ask them what would be best to paint that type of a metal.
Can I do decoupage with tissue napkins in enamel paint on wood surface ??
Yes, you certainly can
