My fish room is mainly exotic plecos like the L046 Zebra. I do keep some shell dwellers. I also have 120 gal with 6 large red Severums. My wild caught L134 leopard frog pleco colony just had their first spawn two weeks ago. So I share the same feelings of excitement you had in this video. 👍

Also, I gotta say, I thought I was completely over large cichlids, but you have me wanting to get some more Parachromis Friedrichsthalii (the original yellow type) that I had years and years ago. Looking forward to the next update, and to see what you guys have in store for 2019.

@@ScottMclaughlinJ Inverts & Planted Tanks got me back into the hobby. I mostly have hard-water inverts so Neocaridina and Bamboo shrimp, and livebearer snails like Rabbit snails and sulawesi trapdoors.

Festae spawned for me the day after I dropped them into the tank. Believe it or not amphilophus flaveolus was the only pair of fish that never spawned for me for what seemed almost a year. Amphs will normally breed in a puddle lol.

Wow that’s great! I haven’t seen any red terrors at any of my lfs. Searched online and they seem to be sold out at every online store. I definitely would need a new tank to house them, what would you say the minimum tank size would be for a pair?
The substrate of the festae's aquarium is cichlid sand( the one that raised ph)?

Congrats! Festae are not an easy one. It took me three tries growing out 3 separate groups over the course of 8 years on and off, i only salvaged 7 fry but enough for BAP and certainly gratifying, I know how you feel right now, well done on and awesome species, and thanks for the video.

My wife is getting a new knee. I will be able to pick her up tomorrow. They gave her some extra blood also.. I'm waiting on spring so I can move all my fish stuff outside. I made some mops and some special things I could glue inside while she was away. It is below freezing right now. So all my tanks are frozen over.
Hello dear friend. My pair just 4 days ago did this business :) and now babies started to swim. When did you start to feed new babies? Now mines are like ball with tail, after 4 days they still can't swim freely. First time i had babies and i really dont know what to do :)

Hahah my red terror just laid eggs in my 125g. It caught me off guard since they are less than 4 inches but damn even my cichlids got knocked up during quarantine. I had to go rewatch this video to get some info on em. I have other cichlids in the tank so gonna set up a temp divider
