Hey Louis! I know this video super old, but hoping you'll see this. This happened to me today (April 6 2023) on my 2003 Summit 800 HO. Luckily caught it before it got ruined. There is small washer like piece "dime sized maybe?) that I cant find. I've pulled the water pump cover, all looks good in there. I suppose maybe it could have fallen out when I removed the lower hose? Any ideas on how or where to look?

Usually if your Rings stay on you can torch the aluminum off the cylinder ,ive even sanded the piston down scratched the skirt so it hold oil and reassemble it with new rings and go ,well I did it on a couple of cold seizures with success but that Evans as good as it is doesn't boil and well you don't have any warnings ,so that might be the down side to this product . how about close up on the parts you break next time Louis ? Every body likes carnage .
Where can I get info on the big bore kit yiur talking about iv got my 800 tore down to the base right now because my clutch side piston threw the wrist pin ring and melted it to my cylinder wall..
Would it be okay to use a shop vac to suck out the coolant on my sled? Also, my secondary clutch is a little loose, like you can pull it out about 1/16 of a inch, is that okay? I heard it could be like a self aline thing to aline your clutches???
Do you know if you can switch out an 09 800 r ptek motor with an 09 800 etec motor? And if so please let me know if it's possible! I'm looking to replace a 09 summit ptek motor with an etec 800 I'd like to know if the etec motor is better!

you have a floating secondary its good! she just move out a little bit so the belt can pull it where it needs to be

Tyson Fidek Actually, yesterday I put a funnel at the end of the hose and it fit perfectly in the hoses and sucked out all the coolant, worked great!

+Chris Catellier there is no etec in 2009.but im sure you could do it. look on dootalk.com for guidance if you choose to go this route

ya the problem is that the fluid blew out before the gauge registered - idiot lights are useless.

why not an 860 kit if your going to go bigbore you mine as well get something that's worth your time but atleast your moding your motor
