Regarding Bluetooth headphone sync I go to Settings>Display & Sound>Audio Output>Bluetooth Audio Sync and follow the instructions. (I hold the Bluetooth remote very close to the headphone speakers)

I have a question regarding Dolby Vision on Fire TV. Using the native apps on my X900H, I’ve noticed that Dolby Vision pops way more than on the same apps with the same picture settings on my Fire TV. The Fire TV is plugged into HDMI 4, which is an HDMI 2.1 port and supports Dolby Vision, so it shouldn’t be the port that’s the problem. Is there any reason why Dolby Vision would look better in the native apps than on the Fire TV apps?

Hi Caleb I bought one of these Firesticks simply to see what I could get free with my Amazon Prime account. I do not have the "A" device nor do I want one. A family member set it up once and within a month threw it away. She did not like the privacy intrusions at all. As far as my TV, it's a dumb TV. I have a Blu-Ray DVD player also with no wifi. I do enjoy PBS and may subscribe to The PBS service but that's all. I have no intention of turning this into a cash sucking advert driven waste of time. Therefore can you recommend the options and settings I'll need to simply watch Nova or perhaps Masterpiece theater on PBS. Nothing Else. Plus I only have 2 HDMI ports so when I use my DVD player, the Firestick is unplugged and powered down. I intend to switch it on only when I plan to watch a PBS offering. Thanks for any help. Tom

Bought the 55" Omni QLED Fire TV for Prime Day 2023. Boy, I tried hard to do every minute variation of color calibration/picture adjustment with the on-board OS and each HDMI port with a variety of devices, cables and sources and under different light but still had a washed out and mostly overblown display. Had to send it back. I am now a little suspicious of QLED. I put my 2019 JVC 50" 1080p TV back up and had more vivid, natural color before a single calibration step. The Fire TV did have slightly improved clarity due to 4K res but was just a disappointing experience. Maybe I had a defective unit....?

However, as soon as I do anything, such as fast forward or reverse, or start the video over again, the TV's colour gradient settings are completely ignored and the colours now look terrible again. If while again watching the video again, I access the TV's colour gradient adjustments that I had previously set to my liking, and make even the slightest adjustment to any of the colours, my entire previous colour gradient settings all come back to life again. Simply put, my colour gradient settings are completely ignored unless they happen to be adjusted even in the slightest degree, during the playing of the video. Meanwhile, I do not have this problem if watching your video.
i bought a fire tv but because it was a cheap option. Disabled internet as it gets rid of the bloat and ads that appear on the home screen. Had to change options to make it boot up on hdmi 1 because it always boots to the page with all the ads. Picture was all glitchy and freezing while watching any content. They had a "feature" motion processing turned to smooth which was causing the video to run slow and glitch and lag behind the audio which made the it out of sync. No telling why it comes like this by default. its beyond me. turned that off. made sure to disable all alexa features as to not be spied on. its crazy that people agree to that. so basically i disabled all features that are advertised for this TV and now it exactly as i want it. It lets you rename the inputs like if you have ps5 plugged in. But they dont have a nintendo option or a PC option. Very weird as you cant just name it whatever you want. Your inputs cant only be named from of list of about 10 devices. DVR? who uses that anymore but there is no Nintendo lable. IT seems the people behind this dont really understand what people want from Tvs and just want to feed you ads and collect your data and sell it.

A short press of the Alexa button on the fire tv remote will bring up an option for the smart home dashboard and weather etc

I have a question regarding Dolby Vision on Fire TV. Did you go into the HDMI Signal Format controls in settings and change HDMI 4 from "Standard format" to "Enhanced format (Dolby Vision)?"
When buy a new “fire tv” is it preadjusted for maximum video capacity? High definition etc.
I still prefer a TCL or Hisense TV. That's just my personal thing.

LG or Sony OLEDs my friend. Just don’t connect to WiFi or internet. If you do, go to settings and select “ Do Not Sell My Personal Information”

As much as you might have a great point, I think most people find the Fire Tv line of devices to work really well.
The sideload option makes the FireTV stick worth it.
