Exactly what i needed. thx for the video. AUDI Zentrum Ka...(Germany) proposed to change the whole unit for 1400€ and as long as im a very good customer they told me that AUDI AG will pay half of the price and the rest should be paid by me. I think this was the last time that they saw my car in their so called workshop. For me this is just a part changing company nothing more and it should be forbidden that they call themself a repair workshop....

Beautiful! Thanks for the tip! This helped me with my faulty 2014 A5. I had the same volume knob issue. Just to add, I never could get a hold of any electronic contact cleaner - spray. However, I improvised. I used isopropyl 99.9%; I just used a half cap full and poured it carefully into the knob opening, popped the knob back in. I kid you not, it took only 3 seconds and it began working like brand new. Thank you soo much for your video. God bless

Can you imagine that Audi said to me that I should replace entire MMI dashboard to solve this problem... very insolent of them! Many thanks for this video manual 🙏🏻 You’re the man 💪🏻

I’m going to try this tomorrow.
The Audi dealer told me it’s $250 to test the MMI module
    That’s a lot for a test.

Agreed. But you didn’t have to spend anything, maybe 2 or 3$ on the stuff you need.

Thank you! Just followed your instructions and got mine working again. So much better than replacing the entire panel. Was told the switch alone is not available. A $6 can of contact cleaner spray is much better than a warranty deductible.

Awesome, thanks for sharing! I need a flathead screwdrive to gently pry off my switch, after the first spray or two it was still twitchy but after a couple more sprays it worked a treat (2013 Audi S5)

Yes but how does the volume knob align as it needs to go in a certain way else you cant push it down to mute or play
