Very nice Clare, real comfort food. Have you ever tried using Orzo (Risoni) a form of short cut pasta grains. You can use it for pasta sauces and soups, lovely change and a one pot dish if you and your partner like to try new things.
I'm always interested in how other people kmakle Spag Bol,worcestershire sauce definately tastes nice in it,but I always cheat and uae a jar of Dolmio or Aldi range tomatoe bolognaise sauce,Yummy. Really enjoying your cooking.

Why peel your Mushrooms? Most of the flavour is in the skin. Just give them a wipe with a damp cloth to remove any soil. Iether that or just buy white button Mushrooms, you know, The ones without flavour. Would save you from peeling them.
Wow! Frozen mince, 😢 Never peeled mushrooms??? Wtaf? Bolognese? It is absolutely not! Bolognese is carrot, onion, celery base, mince and pasata simple! 😮 Word of advice! Add the spice at the start if you’re spicing the meat 😅 Adding sugar😮 Tomatoe pure 😢 At this point it looks like catfood… yes you need water…. Cooking time😮 real bolognese is at least 3 hours! ( you have a slow cooker that would make it quicker) Yes it’s cheap , Simple Mediterranean food… Adding tap water at the end???😮 Please no!!!! 100 grams of pasta per person is enough !!!! Yip grated cheese on top, more fat 😢 Dear god! 😮 That could feed 4 people!! Buone appetito ❤
No I defrosted the mince before cooking. I would never cook frozen meat! Adding a little water prevents the sauce drying up completely...each to their own. And yes 100g of pasta per person is about right, but this depends on each individuals needs and wants. We are all different after all.
